Bringing Beauty Together: Caroline + Co.’s Mother-Daughter Story
For over a decade, Stephanie has honed her talents as a hairstylist and aesthetician, while her daughter Hannah has become an expert lash artist during her 9 years in the industry. This dynamic mother-daughter duo decided to formally join forces by establishing Caroline + Co. in 2022 to provide their clients with a one-stop shop for all beauty needs.
Since opening their salon doors, Caroline + Co. has gone from strength to strength. In August 2023, Stephanie and Hannah expanded their services and product selections by adding a ladies’ clothing boutique called STYLE x Caroline + Co. Customers can browse the boutique’s physical showroom located inside Frisco’s Painted Tree or shop the extensive online store at www.stylexcaroline.co that ships globally.
Through their salon services and boutique, Stephanie and Hannah strive to make clients look and feel their best. Caroline + Co. is all about bringing beauty together, one lash and stylish outfit at a time.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Running a small business, although it brings us so much joy, has also been filled with challenges and obstacles. Hard work and success is never easy! Here at Caroline + Co., we have navigated these the best we know how! It’s been amazing to have other small business owners to pull on and ask questions when we’ve needed guidance. The moment my mom and I first decided to come together by opening the salon + spa, it was a big risk. We put in long hours, getting the space ready, buying equipment, and preparing for special opening events and promotions. Once we knew there was something special here, it took a lot of time and effort to get our name out there and spread the word about why we do what we do and why we started Caroline + Co. in the first place. Which is all about making others feel beautiful and confident in their skin with the services we provide!
In the first year, we overcame many hurdles before the salon + spa found its footing. It was so important for us to lean on each other during this time and be a team working towards something worth it! Over time, with persistence and hard work, we established Caroline + Co. as a one-stop shop for beauty services, earning a glowing reputation, and in August 2023, adding a women’s clothing boutique!
This expansion of Caroline + Co., named STYLE x Caroline + Co., has added new demands for inventory, retail space, marketing, etc. While exciting, growth also brings growing pains. Through it all, we both shared a commitment to bringing our vision for Caroline + Co. to life each day! Working as a mother-daughter team keeps us grounded and motivated to power through whatever obstacles come next on this journey. In addition to our salon services, we recently expanded our offerings with the launch of STYLE x Caroline + Co. in August 2023. This ladies’ clothing boutique, located inside Frisco’s Painted Tree and online at www.stylexcaroline.co, allows us to further enhance our clients’ beauty and confidence by helping them find the perfect outfit to complement their freshly styled hair and lashes. We also have plans of moving our Frisco location to the Painted Tree in North Richland Hills in the near future. Our vision will also be expanding soon later this year in the creation of another department called STYLE Customs where we will be creating unique, one-of-a-kind custom graphic apparel.
