Hi Dr. Peterson, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
How did I start? Designing my family’s homes and helping my Dad run his small business.
As a kid, I designed all the family’s houses and did all my Dad’s secretary work! I can remember being about four years old when my parents bought my first computer!
I would sit and type for hours to make the screen change one color! It was data entry at its worst, but I was learning. Growing up, all I wanted to do was design things, teach the kids on the block, and run a business! That was my entire concern growing up and having my own ENTERPRISE!
Let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
No! No! And no! It’s never a smooth road to running a business! Why? Because things fluctuate! One day, sales are up; the next day, sales are down! Then you have people that don’t want you to succeed, so they bad-mouth your business! These are all struggles that one has to overcome on a daily!
It hasn’t been easy, but it’s definitely been a blessing! I opened my first doors in 1999, and since then, I’ve sold, moved, and opened new avenues for growth, both personal and business development! It’s a challenge, but I’m definitely here for it!

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Yes! One thing I tell all my clients is to never give up on your dream.
Some dreams are harder to obtain than others, but you can never give up! What if Ray McDonald had given up on his dream? What would the world be without the Golden Arches? What has worked for me?
Doing practice sticking with them and going back to perfecting them after failure or success!
