Life & Work with Misty Davis

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Misty Davis.

Misty Davis

Hi Misty, thanks for sharing your story with us. Maybe you can tell our readers some of your back story.
I am known as Hollowed Queen (formerly Misty D Panda), a nerdy horror buff, theater girl, artist, and content creator.

Growing up, I had a lot of fun dressing up and doing plays for my family, going to ren faires and being a fairy, elf, or something fantasy-related, drawing something creative, or acting in school. Growing up, I was quite awkward and always felt like no one actually understood me, and I had a lot of feelings and emotions.

The way that I was able to cope with all the issues and emotions was through being creative, and then eventually, as I grew older, I just continued it. I love every second of being a creative mind. I am currently working on my magazine, blog, vlog, cosplays, and drawings!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Absolutely not, lol. It wasn’t smooth, but it seemed to be worth it.

Money to keep up with my hobbies and professions, people being cruel and tearing each other down, everyone is a critic now, and it is hard to be seen nowadays unless you are trendy or sexy (nothing wrong with either one; I am just not the biggest into either of those) and of course, the fields of professions and hobbies I chose everyone has become incredibly competitive and less creative, and that’s not me at all.

Not to mention, the cosplay world is over-saturated now, so that just makes it hard to be seen with your work.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I have an all-around Active/Creative mind.

I like referring to myself as a creative mind because it does not limit me to any one thing. I am an artist, cosmetologist, singer, actress, SFX makeup artist, and MUA in general, and I run a magazine called Pandamonium Magazine for the arts. I guess my official term would be Creative Mind, Content Creator!!

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love the diversity that our city brings to everyone. The bad thing is I see more and more homeless and sad, and I wish I could help more than I am already. I would also love to see more color to see it brighter and happier.
