Today we’d like to introduce you to Tani Lamb.
Hi Tani, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I have always had a deep desire to see and explore the world. I believe it is coded in my DNA. I have lived in multiple states and traveled worldwide, primarily solo, and I have seen so many things and had life-inspiring experiences. Many people ask me if I am afraid to travel alone, but I enjoy it. Being solo allows you to be free to meet new friends and learn things about yourself that you did not know.
In 2016, I turned this wanderlust into a publishing company to publish my first children’s book, T Sees an Island. Lamb Chop Publishing has released a total of five books thus far. T Sees an Island has been translated into Spanish and French, and in 2023, The Princess of Sapphires and Sand and The Princess of Sapphires Teacher’s Edition with Common Core Alignment were released. The Princess of Sapphires and Sand contains maps and a glossary so children can easily access information without putting the book down. Yes, it’s a throwback to a time before the internet.
I am currently working on new projects that will be released later this year, before Thanksgiving, and in time for the Christmas Holiday Season.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road has not always been smooth, but I have enjoyed and grown from every bounce in this bumpy ride. There is a saying in my Pilates class, ‘Get comfortable being uncomfortable”. When you confront Obstacles and overcome them, this is how you will grow and sharpen your craft.
One struggle that many creatives may frequently encounter is that many people you are attempting to work with may exhibit a different level of passion and excitement than you do for your dream or project. This situation is entirely understandable and should not be taken personally. This is your project and vision; sometimes, people cannot see outside of their reality or envision your more significant dream. Another issue you may encounter is the lack of urgency or the precise execution you think your project should have. Communication and diligence are critical in these situations to make sure that the artistic portrait you are trying to convey is inevitably displayed.

I have loved reading, exploring, and obtaining knowledge since I was a young child. Knowledge yields clarity and minimizes the unexpected. Travel has been an integral part of my adult life. The insatiable desire to meet new people, explore new destinations, eat new cuisine, and smell a different air is my Ouroboros. After exploring six continents and over forty-five countries, I started a publishing company to share my love of exploring with the next generations. Lamb Chop Publishing’s primary mission is to make learning about history and geography and exploring cultures enjoyable and entertaining for children in an increasingly shrinking world. I believe that by making these subjects fun and engaging, I can inspire a new generation of curious individuals to open their minds and overcome ignorance.
My passion sets me apart. I want them to visualize everything that I have seen, but I provide it to them in a package that is grade-level appropriate. Sharing various stories and informing the little people brings me joy and puts a smile on my face. They will listen without bias, ask questions without fear, and absorb new information with innocence only the young possess.
