Small Business of the Day: Conversations with Brittany Scribner of Moms In Sync

Today’s Small Business of the Day features an interview with Brittany Scribner. Please find our conversation below.

We’re thrilled to have the chance to ask you some fun questions today, but before we get started, can you introduce Moms In Sync, Inc. to our readers.
Moms In Sync is a nonprofit focused on organization and support for single moms. Through gifting of free planners and events, we create an environment for single moms to thrive through the support of each other. With the understanding of the importance of getting their daily schedules organized, the planners are specially formatted for moms to have everything they need in one place. What makes this so unique and special is because we not only bring a solution to a need but in hopes in decreasing stress for the moms as a way to promote better mental and physical health as well. I think my clients love the brand because we stand for an area that is oftentimes ignored as a source of a mom’s frustration. My brand acknowledges it.

What is the most important lesson you’ve learned building your business that you can share with those just starting out in their entrepreneurial journey?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is to not just have a plan but to be the brand. It makes a difference when there is someone attached to the business who knows first-hand through their own experience and can pour into it true care for what they are doing. When it is something you needed and didn’t have, you tend to become what you needed for yourself and others. This brand became just that for me and other single moms.

Alright, before we go, let’s do a quick lightning round.
