Today we’d like to introduce you to Esther Maeva Biyo
Hi Esther Maeva , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Maeva Biyo is my name, I am a 28 year old Cameroonian American Entrepreneur , Makeup Artist, Project Manager and Philantropist. My story is a bit complex but if I was to break it down it would go a little something like this.
Coming to America at a very young age with my siblings as immigrants, thought me so many life lessons. One of which, I had to work hard to live the life I really want and take care of my loved ones. My parents worked really hard, pulling double and overtime shifts to make sure we went to school, had a roof over our heads and be provided for.
I always had a passion for Helping others, everything beauty , Building a legacy and Being an impactful Business Mogul in my community. As a little girl, I would play in makeup all the time which got me in trouble often. Little did I know that my love for creativity will grow into something bigger and stronger . Fast forward to adulthood. In 2020 I started doing makeup professionally after years of doing it for fun. A couple of months after that I landed my first beauty position At Mac cosmetic and that’s when everything started.
2021, life occurred and I lost my job. I was unemployed for almost 5 months because of how tough the job was. So I started learning a trade but still couldn’t find any employment in between so i went into Full time makeup artistry while I search. GOD started blessing me with so many makeup clients that did not only bring income but also a powerful idea which is today @evastouchbeauty. Utilizing other luxury brands products daily made me curious about owning my own. So I started doing a lot of researches.
In the mist of my researches, I found out that the beauty market lacks Luxury, affordable makeup & Skincare Products that are Eco conscious. I furthered my search and fell in love with the process of making cosmetic Products from scratch and that’s how Eva’s Touch Beauty was born.
Being a makeup Artist open doors for me to meet amazing women who I pour into and they pour back into me on the regular. So I decided to build a Luxury brand that embodies sustainability, innovation and exclusivity.
Last but not least, I value community and strive to empower our community in Africa by donating $1 of every purchase to our Local NGO ( @maevabiyofoundation @omoniyijabarfoundation )
Evas Touch Beauty represent Luxury, Elegance, Confidence and so does everyone that wears it.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My entrepreneurship journey has been one of my most challenging yet rewarding Journey. I have experienced so many road blocks that almost made me throw in the towels and challenged me in ways i never expected.
Some of the challenges I have experienced are
1. Financial challenges : operating from personal funds is hard because there is a limit to what you can do AND YOU MUST BE VERY STRATEGIC AND FRUGAL WITH THE OPERATIONS OF THE BRAND. I am using my personal funding which I don’t have a lot of. Nevertheless, I do with what I have until I get what I want.
2. Brand awareness : As a small black owned business, it is super hard to get brand awareness and visibility. Utilizing social media and influencers has been my go to.
3. Team building : Building a brand is almost impossible without a team. That is why I have been working on building a solid team that grasp that brand Vision, mission, values and more. Experiencing different individual with great CVS yet low deliverables has been constant. Let’s just say it’s been very challenging but everyday I strive to do better than yesterday.
4. Being a single mom : My child being my #1 priority hinders me from fully giving time to my business and dreams. I value her academic success which requires me to have a split attention at all times. But with a strictly followed schedule , I am able to find balance. I am grateful for the strength to push through every single day.

As a professional, I am a Project Manager and I specialize in Product Development & Marketing.
In my place of work, I am known for my determination on achieving tasks. I am mostly proud of my work ethic and leadership style. I value Collaboration over dictatorship and I have mastered the art of getting the best results with such approach.
One thing I believe that sets me apart from others is my resilience and GOD driven vision. I do not give up easily or when the road gets tough, I have a ” I will figure it out mindset”. I make sure I consult GOD daily and include him in everything I do. So when things gets tough I always run to him for answers. I am also a firm believer that GOD brought me where I am today and gave me this vision. So he will equip me with everything I need to make it a successful reality.

I don’t think any role has Luck but instead Favor from GOD And that is the role of CEO
