Hi Valeria, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hello everyone! My name is Valeria. I started Avee Balloons, my balloon artist career / event decorator business, in September of 2021.
It all started with decorating for my nephews and nieces. My family members would reach out to me to help decorate for parties, and I found thrill in wanting to make sure I went above and beyond for them. I would create centerpieces, balloon garlands and theme backgrounds. I learned that I love helping create unforgettable parties!
From there, I knew I wanted this to be my career; I wanted to create events that everyone would remember for a life time.
At first I really didn’t know what I was doing; I would watch YouTube and TikTok videos on how to improve balloon garlands. I would research where I could purchase the best material for my clients.
My husband wasn’t really sold on me doing this as a career, but supported and followed me into this new adventure. Not only is he the “muscle” on my team, he also creates all my backdrops/walls/panels.
My husband was actually the one who insisted we sign up for a balloon class to help us improve on our technique. We got more and more practice and eventually found our style, which has helped us stand out a bit.
With the help of social media, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, we have advertised our business and have grown since 2021.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it was not a smooth road in the beginning. We had our fair share of ups and downs in this industry.
As beginners, trying to learn how to price our work and time was a learning experience.
Making sure we were providing our clients with quality work, within their price ranges but also learning how to make a profit for ourselves.
We’ve been impressed with Avee Balloons , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I love to create our own designs for our clients upcoming events. I take the time to make mock ups based off reference pictures the client will send me that way I can make their event as unique and customized to their liking.
Details are the favorite things to offer like butterflies on florals, a spinning rocket on a backdrop, etc. I love to create unforgettable first birthdays, baby showers, bridal showers, quinceaneras, corporate events or any occasion. We also do provide faux floral arrangements as rentals and candy carts for events.
Our customer services, how we are always in contact with the client, proving them with all the best quality material we can offer and giving them mocks up so they can envision their event to the tiniest detail.
Our goal is to make sure our clients are speechless when they see the final result in person. Just knowing we aced their exceptions and delivered exactly what they envision makes it all worth it.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
The holidays, my mom would always decorate for the occasion. As soon as Thanksgiving was over you already knew its time for Christmas tree to go up. Every single room in our house would be decorated, I think that’s where I got the detail thing from. Example, in the bathroom she would put greenery garlands with red bows over the mirrors, her soap dispenser would be Santa Claus or sometimes a snowman. She always had to have matching hand towels based off her soap dispenser. In front of our chimney every year without a doubt there are over 30 nutcrackers and she will take the time to make sure they are not missing a hand or mustache before displaying them. Our Christmas dinner table is always beautiful as well. She would add her holiday runner, charger plates, matching dinner plates etc. She always makes sure every detail was unforgettable for us to remember and pass on to our kids.
