After earning my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University, graduating summa cum laude, I began my career in nursing with a commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. I gained valuable experience in various areas of nursing, which gave me a strong foundation in safety, precision, and communication—skills that I now bring into my work as an aesthetic nurse injector.
Although I found fulfillment in traditional nursing roles, I was drawn to the artistry and individuality of aesthetics. This field allows me to combine my love for science, creativity, and education to help patients look and feel their best. Transitioning into aesthetics wasn’t just a career move; it was a calling. I wanted to bridge the gap between medical expertise and artistic vision, showing patients how subtle enhancements can make a big difference in their confidence and overall well-being.
A pivotal moment in my journey came when my best friend took me under her wing and opened the door to learning and opportunity in aesthetics. Her mentorship and belief in my potential gave me the confidence to dive into this field. Together, we share a vision for the future of aesthetics, and we’re incredibly excited to continue growing Metamorph Medspa. As a mom of two beautiful children, ages 3 and 5. I also appreciate how this field allows me to balance professional growth with being present for my family. Aesthetics offers the flexibility to pursue my passion while prioritizing time with my kids. Being able to show them the value of hard work and compassion, while still being there for their important moments, is a gift I deeply cherish.
When treating my aesthetic patients, I approach each one with the same care and dedication I provided at the bedside. I strive to deliver the best and safest care to those I serve, always treating them how I would want myself or my family cared for. My goal is never to “sell” anything but to collaborate with my patients, helping them feel great while still looking like themselves—just refreshed and enhanced. It’s about preserving their unique features while boosting their confidence in a natural, harmonious way.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is the opportunity to collaborate closely with my patients. I take a holistic approach, focusing not only on their aesthetic goals but also on their wellness and skincare routines. Educating my patients about aging, skin health, and treatment options is a key part of what I do. It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road, but every challenge has shaped me into who I am today. The transition from traditional nursing to aesthetics was a big leap, and like any career shift, there were moments of uncertainty. Learning the ins and outs of aesthetics, including mastering the technical skills and the artistry involved, took time and dedication. There were moments when I doubted myself, especially stepping into a new space where you’re blending medical expertise with creativity.
Building my clientele and reputation from the ground up also came with its own set of struggles. There’s a lot of behind-the-scenes work—establishing your brand, gaining trust from patients, and navigating the business side of things. However, I’ve been lucky to have a mentor and a partner who believed in me and supported me every step of the way. Their guidance has been invaluable.
Another challenge, of course, is balancing work with family life. As a mom of two young children, finding the right balance between being there for them and pursuing my passion for aesthetics has been a delicate dance. But it’s also one of the things I love most about this field—the flexibility it offers allows me to do what I love while still being present for my family.
Despite the challenges, I truly believe every struggle has brought me closer to my goals. I’m proud of the journey I’ve been on and the growth I’ve experienced, both personally and professionally. The road may not have been smooth, but it’s been incredibly rewarding, and I’m excited for what’s ahead.
