Today we’d like to introduce you to Chasen & Amber Bowhay
Hi Chasen & Amber, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Initially, Chasen’s Aunt and Uncle were running a small installation company. When we came on board, Chasen became the installation manager and took over the main contract. For the first 9 years we worked under a third party. Within the last year and a half, we decided to branch off and establish our own contracts with vendors directly and have since flourished.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
We were both young when we started our business so there was a lot that we did not know about running a business. We entered partnerships with no agreements in place and only handshakes. Another struggle we faced is balancing family and work. There is so much work that goes into running a business that we had to constantly remind ourselves to find balance in everything. Also, for a long time, we lived paycheck to paycheck because any profit made we needed to put back into the business. We have learned many new things and we continue to learn every day. It has not always been easy or smooth sailing but we have had each other and most importantly God who has directed our path.

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
As someone with ADHD and dyslexia, I am constantly looking for ways to stay organized and broaden my knowledge. You also don’t have to spend a ton of money, I have found things as simple as Google Sheets to help me stay organized and focused. Chasen likes to listen to comedy podcasts to help brighten his day and calm his anxiety.
