Rising Stars: Meet Renee ( Nae ) Escobar of Dallas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Renee ( Nae ) Escobar

Hi Renee ( Nae ), can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Born in Boston Massachusetts , Raised in the DC Suburb Called Laurel in Maryland. went to college in New York and spent majority of my 20s traveling and learning different cultures etc. Before Moving to Dallas I was living in LA. I was working in Fashion which I was doing for most of my 20s. personal shopping and styling for Celebrity Clients and E-Commerce Such as Fashion Nova. I had a big instagram following due to my fashion sense and just overall lifestyle content. When Covid hit in 2020, I was laid off my job because of the severity of the pandemic and Los Angeles was one of the last cities to fully open. I started my Candle business in 2020 and launched in 2021. Selah Candle Co. I’ve mostly sold to AirBnb owners and small businesses in bulk. The relaunch of Selah will be in Late March of this year and will feature bath and home products. Since Moving to Dallas I networked through night life and friends I’ve known and was Brought the idea to Run a new concept called Paparazzi chophouse and Papzz Lounge. I am now the Lounge Manager of Papzz where we have exclusive clientele, and sold out nights every Sunday Tuesday Friday and Saturday.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I Think no road is ever smooth especially when you are in a transition period in your life. I Moved to Dallas after getting out what I think was one of the worst relationships I’ve been in. I dealt with a a lot of physical and emotional abuse and I feel like coming here I had to start from scratch. I was freshly 30 and didn’t really know what direction I wanted to go in. I knew that firstly I needed to heal within and I found myself getting closer to god and as well know he will make a way and for that I’m truly blessed. I owe everything to him

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I would say I’m a full time influencer, but I also have a career in Hospitality Management which I’ve grown to love. I specialize in bringing an experience to people, I feel like my background in Fashion and art and just me living in. major cities plays a part in what I bring to the table. Being well cultured definitely has its perks and contribute a ton to ideas and experiences especially in Night life. I believe I’m most proud of who ive become as a person and as a woman. I have dedicated my life to being the person that I want to be and through all the trials and setbacks I can finally say my hard work is finally paying off. Resilience is a key part of what sets me apart, through everything I’ve never decided to not keep going.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I was overall a bubbly child, I was super into sports and grew up with all 5 of my cousins. family means everything to me so I’m super family oriented. I was always into my appearance and the way I looked so fashion was always an interest I knew I loved dressing up and dressing people up since a child. my ma tells me I used to cry about what she would dress me in and gave up and started letting me dress myself at 4 years old.
