Today we’d like to introduce you to Bre Larie.
Hi Bre, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Being a native of Atlanta, Georgia, I grew up around some pretty influential fashion! As a little girl I would cut up and sew material together to create unique pieces for my barbies. My mother and grandmother were serial shoppers, so, we lived at the mall every week. Their styles were uniquely the same ranging from bold and bright colors to huge accessories and hats. Both were quite the fashionistas, and I can attribute my love for styling and shopping to them.
I have always been known for my unique and edgy style. I love colors and I enjoy wearing pieces that make me feel good! Some days this may be a cute little sundress paired with a sun hat and sneakers. Other days, I may want to put on a button down with some jeans and a pair of heels. I’m all about expressing myself through how I look!
I started styling my friends and family. I then styled for fashion shows and have also styled for boutiques. I very much enjoy personal styling because it allows me to work one on one with clients. I enjoy my time with my clients as it allows us to connect on a level that at times far exceeds just fashion.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t necessarily been a rough road. The biggest challenge I find I have had to maneuver is balance. I am a mom of two beautiful now young adults. Ensuring I continuously provide what they need as their mom in addition to navigating life, running my business, and not running out of steam is at the forefront of my mind. Making a conscious effort to slow down and be intentional about resting has been a game changer.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a Personal Stylist, and I absolutely love what I do! My services include personal shopping, where I shop and procure clothing for my clients. This ranges from a total wardrobe makeover to shopping for various pieces to add to what they already have. Another service I offer is closet discovery and revamping. My clients and I work together to put together looks using items they already have in their closet. This service can also include getting rid of items that are merely taking up space. I also offer personal event styling services. This service is for clients who have an event coming up and require a little something special for that day!
I am most proud of what my clients say about me as an individual. They understand who I am, at my core. Thats what’s important to me!
I believe what sets me apart from others is the fact that I actually care about my clients. I care about their wellbeing. I care about their mental state. I care about them! I love styling and putting looks together for my clients, however, nothing is more important to me than knowing they feel 10 times better than they did when we started. This is where I find purpose!
How do you think about happiness?
Serving and helping others make me happy! It brings me great joy to help clients feel and look their best! My experience with my clients goes far beyond fashion.
My goal is to give all of my clients a safe space to just be. Whether it is a mom who needs encouragement, or a dad requiring equally the same, my clients know that they can come to me as they are. Not only do they leave feeling encouraged and empowered, but they also leave with a new and refreshed look to go along with those feelings.
