Today we’d like to introduce you to Ana Martinez.
Hi Ana, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Welcome to 11:11 Irving’s First Boutique Pilates Studio
We’re a young Hispanic couple in our 20s, proud parents to two little ones, and now the owners of 11:11, a boutique Pilates studio that officially opened last Thursday in Irving, TX.
This dream has been years in the making and while we’re just getting started, this business has already taught us so much about resilience, balance, and building something meaningful from the ground up.
How It All Started
The idea for 11:11 began during COVID. At the time, I was a full-time student and new mom, dealing with postpartum depression. Most of my days were spent indoors, alone, while my husband worked long hours to support us.
I felt isolated, anxious, and disconnected until I discovered Pilates. That one hour a day became a safe space to focus on my body, my mental health, and my peace.
Years later, after finishing school and working full time in the dental field (on top of mom life with two kids), I found myself needing that space again. And I kept thinking: I wish I had found this sooner.
Why Pilates? And Why Now?
We realized there was no Pilates studio in Irving and our community deserved one. We wanted to create a place where people of all ages and backgrounds could feel supported, seen, and strong.
Pilates isn’t just a trend it’s for everyone. It helps with:
Strength and flexibility
Mental clarity and emotional balance
Recovery and healing (especially for pregnancy & postpartum)
Graceful aging and mobility
Taking a break from the stress of daily life
Our Mission
We built 11:11 to be a space for people like us, busy, hardworking, trying to care for others but still needing time to care for ourselves.
Whether you’re:
A mom needing a mental break
A beginner wanting to feel stronger
An older adult focused on movement and mobility
Someone healing from anxiety, burnout, or just life…
This space was created for you.
More Than a Studio , A Community
We know self-care isn’t always affordable or accessible, so we’re doing our best to change that. At 11:11, we offer:
Affordable class packages and specials
Free community classes in the park
A welcoming, no-pressure environment
We want everyone to feel like they belong here, because everyone deserves to feel strong, peaceful, and empowered in their body.
A Personal Thank You
We’re building this while working full-time jobs, raising kids, and juggling side businesses. It’s not easy but it’s worth it. We support each other every step of the way, and we’re so proud to finally share this space with you.
Thank you for supporting a small, family-owned business. We’re honored to be the first Pilates studio in Irving, and we can’t wait to grow with our community.
Come visit 11:11. Come as you are. Leave stronger.
With love,
The Founders of 11:11
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
One of the biggest challenges has been balancing it all my husband and I both work full-time jobs, and we’re raising two small kids, so launching a new business on top of that has definitely stretched us. But we’ve always known we wanted to build something of our own, and this studio is that dream coming to life.
Another challenge has been introducing Pilates to a community that’s not very familiar with it. Since we’re the first Pilates studio in south Irving, many people don’t know what Pilates really is. There’s a common assumption that it’s only for young women, but the truth is it’s for everyone. All ages, all body types, all fitness levels. Pilates is incredibly inclusive, and it can be adapted to support so many different needs, from postpartum recovery to injury rehab, to improving flexibility and mental health.
We’ve also noticed that people are often intimidated by the reformer machine at first. It looks complex, but once they try it, they’re usually surprised by how gentle, supportive, and effective it is. That’s why we offer a variety of class types including mat, reformer, and mat & sculpt so there’s something for everyone to ease into at their own pace.
It’s been a journey full of risks, learning curves, and long hours but it’s also been incredibly rewarding to help people feel stronger, more confident, and more connected to their bodies.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
At 11:11, we’re more than just a Pilates studio. we’re a community space built with purpose, love, and a deep desire to help others feel strong, supported, and seen.
What We Do
We specialize in:
Reformer Pilates – Gentle, low-impact strength and flexibility training using the reformer machine.
Mat Pilates – Focused on bodyweight movement and core activation, perfect for all levels.
Sculpt Classes – A blend of Pilates and strength for those looking for an extra challenge.
What Sets Us Apart
We are community-first: we host free outdoor classes and offer affordable pricing to make wellness more accessible.
We’re inclusive: our classes are designed for every body young, old, new to movement, or experienced.
We bring real-life experience: as working parents who found healing in Pilates, we understand the need for safe, supportive, and empowering spaces to reset and recharge.
We are Irving-born: the south part of the city needed a Pilates studio, and we’re proud to be the first to bring it here.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
We absolutely love being based in Irving. The city is full of life and hardworking people, it’s busy, but it still has that small-town feel that makes you feel connected. One area we’re especially excited about is the Heritage District in South Irving, where our studio is located.
It’s currently being renovated and truly becoming an up-and-coming gem. The city has invested in making it a more beautiful and welcoming space, with painted murals, renovated streets, and a real effort to bring people together. We feel proud and grateful to be part of this transformation.
One thing we appreciate is that Irving really wants its small businesses to succeed. They’ve created great opportunities and resources for business owners, and it shows in how much support we’ve received, even in our early days.
Heritage Park, right down the street, now hosts live music on Fridays, community events like Juneteenth with free in- and out, snow cones, and performances for all ages. It’s amazing to see the energy and joy it brings to the area. It should just be advertised more that way all Irving is aware of the events going on.
We were honored to be part of that by offering our first free mat Pilates class on the lawn, and we hope to continue offering more community events soon. Our goal is not just to grow our studio, but to grow with our community.
