Rising Stars: Meet Eden Miller of Dallas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eden Miller.

Eden , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’m a Las Vegas native who’s been creating art since I was a little girl. I followed that passion to Southern Methodist University, where I earned my BFA in art. These days, I am a full-time painter and muralist based here in Dallas. I am so lucky to be able to do what I love for work!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Being an artist hasn’t always been a smooth ride. It’s a constant grind of chasing the next project, building relationships, and pushing through the uncertainty. But through a lot of hard work (and a little luck), I’ve been able to grow a steady, successful business with an amazing group of repeat clients who keep coming back. I feel so grateful everyday to be doing what I love.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m an acrylic based painter with a love for bright colors, bold patterns, and fun, playful ideas. I’ll pretty much throw glitter on anything which probably isn’t normal for most artists, but I love it. Lately I’ve fallen in love with murals and spray painting too. There is something about the freedom of it that feels so good. What I’m most proud of is how far I’ve come from being that little girl at art camp to now living my dreams as a working artist in Dallas. I think what sets me apart is that I’m just here to have fun, and I want other people to have fun with my art too. Not everything has to be so serious… sometimes, art can just make you smile, and that’s enough.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I truly believe that my outgoing personality has played a big role in the success I’ve found as an artist. Connecting with people, building relationships, and bringing positive energy to my work has opened so many doors for me.
