Today we’d like to introduce you to Kayden Roberts.
Hi Kayden, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’m Kayden Roberts, a young creative and business owner from DeSoto, Texas. I started taking photos in my sophomore year of high school, and it quickly turned into a business — Kayden Productions.
What started with school events and portraits grew into a full-service photography and videography brand. Now I cover everything from sports and graduations to business promos, creative shoots, and special events.
Outside of my business, I serve as Class President of DeSoto High School, leading the Class of 2026 and paving the way for the next senior class. That role keeps me involved in my school and gives me more chances to create and lead.
Right now, I’m focused on growing Kayden Productions, building a team, and continuing to take my work to the next level. This is more than a passion — it’s a business built on storytelling, quality, and purpose.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
To be honest, it has been a smooth road. For me, balancing business, school, and leadership comes naturally. I’ve always been driven and organized, so managing Kayden Productions while leading my class and staying on top of schoolwork has felt like a good rhythm. That’s not to say there haven’t been learning curves — like figuring out pricing, upgrading gear, or dealing with unexpected challenges — but I enjoy the process and take each step as a chance to grow.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I run Kayden Productions, where I handle photography and videography for all kinds of projects — not just sports, but also events, portraits, promos, and creative content. I started in high school and built this business from the ground up while also being Class President and a full-time student.
People know me for being reliable and making sure their vision comes to life, whether it’s a mixtape, a brand shoot, or a graduation recap. What sets me apart is how hands-on I am — I shoot, edit, manage everything, and still keep it professional. I’m proud of how far I’ve come and how much I’ve grown the business at a young age.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
I think the most important quality that’s helped me succeed is consistency. Whether it’s showing up to shoot, delivering edits on time, or keeping up with school and leadership, I stay on top of everything. I don’t wait for motivation — I stay locked in and get things done. That mindset has helped me grow Kayden Productions and build trust with clients, even at a young age.
