Today we’d like to introduce you to Maria Carlota Nurse.
Maria Carlota, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far. I am an engineer, but I fell in love with photography 4 years ago, it has been a hard process because it has developed in parallel with the fact of being an immigrant, but the constancy and not losing the ability to dream is what allows me to continue forward, understanding that everything that happens is part of the process.
Photography is my escape, my refuge, it allows me to give away moments that will last forever, it is a way to give and get love just by capturing moments; it allows me to be creative, to make clients that become friends and are part of my story; I have made from portraits, family photography, weddings, photography of children learning that I can be a photographer at any time and adapting to what my clients need. I have specialized in makeup to offer this service to my clients and make them look even better, that security of feeling beautiful can be captured by my camera, besides it is a great way to connect with them before their sessions.
Having the support of my family has been fundamental, my husband has fought with me and today I know that I am not the same and I continue to learn every day to offer better tools and knowledge to each of the people and families who trust me with their moments. I am Venezuelan and the situation in my country brought me to a nation of opportunities that today is my home. I believe faithfully that God has a plan and will continue working to discover what is coming
Has it been a smooth road? I have almost 3 years in the USA and the most difficult thing for me has been to make my English fluent, my native language is Spanish and it has been a challenge to learn a new language when you do not have time, when you cannot stop working to take a course, when you are away from your family and you miss everything, understand that you are in your new home and who should adapt is you not the others

I am in charge of offering photographs that capture important stages in the lives of others. To keep your photographic memories forever, that the tradition of photography continues to be part of your life.
There are many options nowadays, I think there is a photograph for each type of person that you should have affinity with the person in charge of knowing your best moments
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I would like to have a work team specialized in weddings that has videography, makeup and wedding planner
