Community Highlights: Meet Shehrose Taj Noormohammed of Royal Taj Beauty/ RoyalStylist/ Shehrose

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shehrose Taj Noormohammed.

Hi Shehrose Taj, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
From playing with makeup and dancing on stage as a kid, to styling celebrities and emceeing infront of thousands as an adult.

I was born and raised in DFW, the journey started with my love of music and fashion and I never missed a chance to dance or dress up. My first stage performance was at the age of 4 and was published in a local news paper. I danced at community events and weddings throughout most of my childhood.

I discovered my love for makeup while playing with my Moms makeup kit and fell in love with lipstick and eyeliner. At the same time, as a South Asian girl with strong genes, I was very hairy and insecure, so experimenting with tweezers and razors also started early and I saw the beauty of transformation on myself. From one eyebrow to two and from using a Conair straightener to the CHI, I learned how to tame my mane and groom myself, which became the foundation of my skillset.

By the age of 13, I soon became the friend everyone would ask to do their hair and makeup. At 17, I started college while being in trade school and became a licensed Cosmstologist in 2010, working my first salon job at Supercuts.

I did my first bridal client in the same year and started my freelance business, Royal Taj Beauty, as a mobile stylist serving clients in their homes while also being in school and working at a salon full time. I graduated in 2016 from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor’s in Health Information Management and began my corporate journey while still providing hair and makeup services to clients all over the United States.

I became an RJ in 2020 and found my love for public speaking, which soon turned into a passion for emceeing live events.

In 2021, I began personal style consultation business in ethnic jewelry and clothing, RoyalStylist, where pieces are created or currrated to match your style and budget. I have since styled brides and bridal parties all over the United States, Pakistan and Canada.

In 2022, I got the opportunity to do hair for my first celebrity client, Bollywood legend, Meenakshi Sheshadri and have styled celebrities such as Mehwish Hayat, Gulham Ali, Rizwan Manji, Sanam Marvi and others since then.

In 2024, I started event coordinating with a luxury wedding planner- L3 event services, while also
working with a content creator-SnapshotsbySavs as a second shooter. I started my digital marketing business, ShehroseMoney, where I help people all over the world with their digital presence and ways to generate passive income in their niche. I also have Royal Taj Beauty Academy, where I help people with self grooming through in person and virtual classes.

This year, I continued to grow in all my endeavors while also acting/dancing in a few community stage plays, emceeing a crowd of thousands in Dubai, and moving into the music production space. I am so excited to see where 2026 takes me.

I still wear all these hats and many more, I enjoy being multifaceted and using all my skills in ways to serve the world. Currently, I am a HIPAA Privacy Officer, Hairstylist, Makeup Artist, Personal Stylist, Emcee, Event Coordinatior, Content Creator and Digital Marketing Consultant and Grooming Coach.

I believe life is too short to not pursue all your passions and dreams; you can do it all and look great while doing it too!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nothing worth having ever comes easy.

Right before I started cosmetology school, my brother passed away from cancer and I left Dallas overnight and moved to Chicago. That entire experience was traumatic and the prerequisite of a 16 year long profession fueled by passion and distraction. So many times I felt like quitting, it was very labor intensive, yet creative and challenging. I am so thankful I didn’t give up.

RoyalStylist was born from a personal need while I was planning my own wedding, and I ended up never having one, but I helped so many brides during theirs. Nobody talks about vendors that have to keep a huge smile for their clients while their own lives are falling apart. Dealing with overseas shipping and logistics was an entirely new experience and still something I struggle with, but its all a learning curve. The feeling of seeing your vision come to life for someone’s big day is worth the struggles during the process.

My radio show was canceled without reason, I dedicated 3 years to it and I was devastated, but during the same time I was given opportunities to do live anchoring and emceeing which is something I love and I am now known for in my community.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
