Today we’d like to introduce you to Ammy Yanez.
Hi Ammy, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
People come to our booth because they know our son, Ian! Whether they’ve seen him online or bought a lemonade from him before, he’s always dancing, telling jokes, and spreading good vibes to everyone who visits. He’s genuinely the life of the party, and his cheerful personality makes every visit fun and memorable. He’s very loved by our customers, and honestly, we couldn’t do this without him. He’s a huge part of what makes Saborcito special.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road! Like any small business, we’ve faced our share of challenges. One of the biggest has been duplicate vendors at the same events, there are so many great vendors out there, so standing out and building our own loyal customers took time and effort. And of course, the Texas heat doesn’t make it any easier! Working long hours in 100 degree weather can be tough, but it’s all part of the experience. At the end of the day, seeing people enjoy our refreshing lemonade and come back for more makes every challenge worth it.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Saborcito Lemonade started after a family trip to California. We were craving some Texas style sweet tea or lemonade but to our surprise we couldn’t find any anywhere! When we got back home, I started thinking about how much we missed it, and that’s when the idea came to life. What started as a simple craving turned into something special and now, we get to share that taste of home with everyone right from our cute yellow booth that’s hard to miss.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The biggest lesson we’ve learned is that hard work and consistency pays off. Even in the hot Texas weather, we make every lemonade fresh on site. Taking that extra step and never cutting corners is what keeps our customers coming back for more.
