Today we’d like to introduce you to Danna Vialet.

Hi Danna, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story is truly rooted in faith, family, and the belief that God places gifts in us long before we ever recognize them.

I started baking for my family and friends — never imagining it would turn into anything more. For me, baking was simply a way to show love and bring people together. I didn’t see it as a calling at first… but the people around me did.

My family and close friends were the ones who kept speaking life into my talent. They encouraged me, pushed me, and reminded me that what I created brought joy to others. Their support gave me the courage I didn’t always have in myself. Looking back, I can see how every compliment, every request for “just one more cake,” and every word of encouragement was preparing me for something bigger.

There came a moment when I realized this wasn’t just a hobby — it was a gift God had placed in my hands. And with that realization came the faith to step forward. I graduated culinary school in 2022. What started in my kitchen slowly grew into a vision, and that vision became a mobile dessert bakery- Your Escape to Sweets. I wanted to build a brand that felt like love, warmth, and a breath of fresh air — a place where people could taste joy in every bite.

My journey hasn’t been easy. It has been full of prayer, late nights, breakthroughs, and blessings I could have never planned. But through it all, God guided each step, placing the right people and opportunities in my path.

Today, as I grow my business and expand into new dreams, I carry deep gratitude for where I started. None of this would be possible without God, my family, and the friends who believed in me long before I believed in myself.

I’m still becoming, still learning, and still trusting God with this journey — and I’m grateful for every moment.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The journey definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but it’s been a meaningful one.
One of my biggest struggles has been stepping outside of my comfort zone. I’m naturally an introvert, so putting myself out there, talking to new people, and confidently promoting my business did not come easy for me.

There were moments where self-doubt made me feel stuck. But I realized that if I wanted to grow — not just as a business owner, but as a woman of faith — I had to push past the limitations I placed on myself. Little by little, I challenged myself to show up, speak up, and trust that God would give me the strength I didn’t always have on my own.

It’s still a work in progress, but every step forward reminds me that growth happens outside of comfort. And I’m proud of how far I’ve come.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m the owner and baker behind Your Escape to Sweets, a dessert brand where every treat is crafted to feel like a moment of paradise. I specialize in luxury cakes, decadent cookies, dipped treats, and vibrant tropical-themed desserts that bring joy, color, and warmth to any celebration. My goal is always to create desserts that not only taste amazing but also leave a lasting impression.

I’m known for my attention to detail, my tropical-luxury aesthetic, and the love and care I pour into every order. Whether it’s a custom cake or a dessert table, I want every customer to feel the heart, intention, and soul behind my work.

What I’m most proud of is the growth — not just in my business, but in myself. Every dessert I create reminds me of how far I’ve come and how faithful God has been in this journey. I’m proud that I turned a passion into a purpose, and a purpose into a business that serves others with joy.

What sets me apart is the experience I create. My brand isn’t just about desserts — it’s about giving people an escape, a taste of happiness, and a feeling of luxury through flavors, design, and presentation. I infuse my work with creativity, prayer, and a standard of excellence that reflects the heart behind Your Escape to Sweets.

At the end of the day, I want every customer to feel what I felt when I first began baking: comfort, love, and a moment of sweetness they’ll never forget.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
One of my favorite childhood memories is growing up on three tropical islands and spending time with family and friends. I loved the simple joys—playing outside, feeling the ocean breeze, and enjoying the vibrant island life with the people I loved. Those moments really shaped my sense of community, adventure, and appreciation for beauty in everyday life.
