Conversations with Christina Thammavongsa

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christina Thammavongsa.

Hi Christina, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My Instagram originally started as a personal page, but one day I began taking photos of my food and realized how much I enjoyed it. Over time, it slowly turned into a creative outlet where I could share restaurants, cafés, and food spots I genuinely love. What started casually grew into a passion for discovering new places, capturing those experiences, and sharing them with others. Now it’s a space where I share my favorite foods and connect with others who love food and exploring as much as I do.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. When I first started, I was just posting casually and didn’t know much about creating content or growing a page. One of the biggest challenges has been learning how to grow naturally while staying consistent with posting and creating content. Along the way, I’ve had to learn a lot about photography, editing, and engaging with my audience. But those challenges have helped me grow and improve my content over time.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’ve been working in the dental field for about 7 years now. During that time, I’ve gained a lot of experience working closely with patients. My work has taught me strong attention to detail, communication skills, and how to help patients feel comfortable during their visits. One of the things I’m most proud of is being able to help patients feel more confident by improving their dental health and giving them new smiles. It’s really rewarding to see someone leave happier and more confident than when they came in. I also enjoy building relationships with patients, remembering their faces, and seeing them come in looking forward to their appointments.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
One of my favorite childhood memories is spending time with my cousins growing up since we were all around the same age. We would play online games like League of Legends together for hours and talk on the phone while we played because there wasn’t voice chat built into games like there is now. Looking back, those were some of the best and simplest memories growing up.
