Meet Adrian Villalta of Azle

Today we’d like to introduce you to Adrian Villalta.

Hi Adrian, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My story really begins at one of the lowest points in my life.

Around 2019–2020, I had convinced myself that I didn’t want to be here anymore. I attempted suicide by overdose and later confessed to my dad what I had done. I’ll never forget that moment—he rushed home immediately, and I didn’t even realize it until I stepped out of the shower trying to clear my mind. When I opened the door, he was there.

After that, I was admitted into a mental hospital—not once, not twice, but three times.

Through it all, my dad never left my side. He showed up for me in every way possible, and that’s one of the many reasons I consider him the greatest father on earth. He raised us on his own, and even in my darkest moments, he continued to fight for me.

Some time later, I went on a camping trip with my best friend and a woman of God I call Mimi. One night, I began asking questions about Jesus—who He is, what it means to be saved, and what a relationship with Him looks like. With every question came an answer that felt bigger than me, like pieces of a puzzle finally coming together.

That moment changed everything.

I began my relationship with Jesus, and it healed me in ways that nothing else ever could—not people, not money, not distractions. It gave me purpose.

A few years later, I got a job at Walmart, where I discovered I was naturally good with people. One day, a coworker told me, “Adrian, you’re great with people—you should be in sales.” Instantly, something clicked: real estate.

From that point on, I became intentional. I started networking with everyone I met, even customers in my line, asking what they did for a living. Eventually, I connected with someone in real estate, and what started as a small opportunity quickly grew into something much bigger. I truly believe God opened those doors and guided me every step of the way.

Today, I’m a real estate agent, and I approach my work as an opportunity to serve others the way Christ calls us to. It’s more than a career to me—it’s a purpose. Helping people step into new chapters of their lives is something I’ll never take for granted.

“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” — Mark 10:45

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Haha! It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road.

I grew up watching my dad do everything he could to take care of us on his own. There were times when we were homeless, living under someone else’s roof while he worked every single day just to provide food and find a way forward. In the middle of all of that, I went through one of the lowest points of my life and attempted suicide.

Looking back, that’s something that still hurts me deeply—not just because of what I went through, but because of what I put my dad through. I remember sitting in a mental hospital room while a staff member asked me deeply personal questions. I answered honestly, and in the corner of the room was my dad, listening to everything. I can still picture the look on his face—confusion, pain, heartbreak. That moment has never left me.

It hit even harder later when I realized that those hospital visits put him in debt at a time when he was already struggling just to get us into a home. That’s something I carry with me, and it’s shaped how I see responsibility, sacrifice, and love.

But even in that, I can find gratitude. I truly believe that God allowed me to hit rock bottom so I could realize that He is the Rock at the bottom—the One who saved me. That experience changed my life. Today, I’m in a completely different place. I wake up with purpose, I lean on my faith daily, and I ask God to use me as a vessel to pour His love into others.

Another challenge came when I became a licensed real estate agent. I wasn’t prepared for the mental battles that come with this career—the uncertainty, the pressure, and the discipline it requires. There were moments where it felt overwhelming. But just like before, my faith carried me through. Every obstacle became a lesson, and every setback became part of my growth.

My journey hasn’t been easy, but it’s given me resilience, perspective, and a deeper purpose—not just in real estate, but in how I serve and impact others.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I help people by guiding them through some of the most significant moments of their lives—whether that’s one of the most exciting or one of the most uncertain: homeownership.

While I am currently focused on growing within the luxury market, I view every client as a luxury client. To me, it’s never about price point or status—it’s about the level of service, care, and attention I bring to each relationship. I believe everyone deserves to be served at the highest level, regardless of where they are in life.

I’m known for the way I serve and genuinely care for people. My clients often tell me they feel more than just “represented”—they feel valued, understood, and supported. I don’t see people as transactions; I see them as relationships that matter.

What I’m most proud of is my ability to walk in my calling—not just as a real estate agent, but as someone who openly lives out my faith. I don’t separate what I do from who I am. My business is built on serving others with integrity, compassion, and purpose.

That’s also what sets me apart. In an industry where people can sometimes feel like just another number, I take a completely different approach. I see every person as someone worthy of care, respect, and intentional service. My goal is to build relationships that go far beyond the transaction—relationships rooted in trust, impact, and long-term connection.

How do you think about happiness?
Jesus.

Because He saved me, made me new and gave me a purpose that I will never outgrow.
