Today we’d like to introduce you to Marisa Loera.
Hi Marisa, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started my journey in the lash industry during one of the most transformative seasons of my life when I had a newborn and a two-year-old at home. As a mom of two little ones, I was determined to find a way to be fully present for them while still building something meaningful for myself. Traditional work schedules didn’t align with the life I envisioned, so I knew I needed to create my own path.
The lash industry gave me exactly that. What started as a desire for flexibility quickly turned into a passion and, eventually, a thriving business. I became deeply committed to mastering my craft, investing in education, and continuously growing not just as an artist, but as an entrepreneur.
More than anything, I was driven by the idea of time freedom the ability to raise my children while building an empire on my own terms. Today, that same mission fuels everything I do, from serving my clients, shipping products worldwide, owning salon suites and mentoring others how to do the same.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Balancing motherhood while building a business from the ground up, often running on little sleep and learning everything as I went.
There were financial sacrifices, slow days while building my clientele, and moments of doubt. I also had to step into multiple roles at once artist, marketer, and business owner which pushed me outside of my comfort zone.
But those struggles taught me resilience and kept me focused on my goal of creating time freedom and building something of my own.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I specialize in lash artistry, offering high-quality lash extension supplies and both online and in person training. Over the years, I’ve become known not just for my technique, but for my focus on education and mentorship helping other women start their own lash businesses and achieve the same time freedom I enjoy.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
My biggest advice for anyone starting out in the lash industry is to focus on both skill and mindset. Master your craft first take the time to learn proper techniques, invest in quality education, and practice relentlessly.
At the same time, treat your business like a business. Show up consistently, build relationships, and don’t be afraid to put yourself out there. Patience and persistence are key success doesn’t happen overnight, but every small step adds up.
