Today we’d like to introduce you to Laura Martinez.
Hi Laura, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always had a passion for marketing because it blends creativity with a wide range of skills. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from UTD in 2021, and shortly after graduating, I began volunteering with Visit Plano, capturing content to build my portfolio and gain real-world experience.
That eventually led to a local event trusting me with paid work, which pushed me to turn what I was doing into a real business. What started as a way to gain experience quickly grew into something bigger. In 2022, Hermoso Creations was born, and I continued building it quietly on the side while working a full-time job.
In 2025, everything changed when I decided to go all in and take Hermoso Creations full-time. That decision forced me to think bigger, move with more intention, and treat the business like what I always knew it could become.
Today, Hermoso Creations is run by my husband, Albert Hermoso, and me as a full-service marketing agency working with local businesses across Dallas. We focus on helping brands show up consistently, create strong content, and build a presence that truly connects with their audience.
A big part of what we do is bridging the gap in marketing for local businesses. Many small business owners feel like marketing is too expensive, overwhelming, or out of reach, and we’ve made it our mission to change that by making it more approachable and accessible.
We’re also proud to work closely with many Latin-owned businesses. Being bilingual and culturally connected allows us to create content that feels authentic and helps our clients feel understood and represented.
At its core, our story is about creating opportunities and helping others do the same. We work with businesses that are growing and ready to be seen, helping them get there through marketing that feels simple, approachable, and effective.
The name Hermoso Creations is especially meaningful to us. “Hermoso” means “beautiful” in Spanish, and it’s also our last name. It reflects both who we are and what we strive to create, work that is thoughtful, intentional, and beautifully executed for every client we serve.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Like many small businesses, we’ve been self-funded from the start, so every investment has to be intentional. We’ve had to be very thoughtful about where we put our time and money, especially because one of our core values is keeping our services approachable for local businesses.
Another challenge has been shifting the perception around marketing. A lot of small business owners have had experiences where marketing felt confusing, overpriced, or didn’t deliver results, so there can be hesitation and lack of trust.
A big part of what we do goes beyond just creating content. We focus on helping business owners understand the value of marketing and showing them that strong branding and strategy are possible at their level, not something they have to wait years to achieve.
Those challenges have really shaped how we operate today and pushed us to be more intentional, transparent, and results-driven in everything we do.
We’ve been impressed with Hermoso Creations, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Hermoso Creations is a full-service marketing agency based in Dallas, focused on helping local businesses grow through intentional, approachable marketing. We specialize in social media strategy, content creation, and video, while also offering website design, SEO, and print services to support brands across multiple touchpoints.
At the core of what we do is meeting businesses where they are. Many local brands feel like they need to wait years before investing in marketing or building a strong presence, and we work to change that. We help our clients take the next step now, with strategies and content that make sense for their stage of growth.
What sets us apart is our hands-on approach. We don’t just work behind a screen. We go on-site, capture content in real time, and take the time to truly understand each client’s brand. We aim to become an extension of their team, representing their business with the same level of care and intention as if it were our own. Being local ourselves also allows us to better connect with our clients and the communities they serve.
Beyond the services we offer, what we’re most proud of is our mission to support and grow alongside our community. We want to make a real impact by helping local businesses succeed and feel confident in how they show up.
Looking ahead, one of our long-term goals is to continue bridging that gap by creating opportunities for students in high school and college. We hope to build programs that allow them to gain real-world experience by working with local businesses, developing skills across marketing, content creation, and strategy. While we’re still growing toward that vision, it’s an important part of what we’re building.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Seeing our clients busy and growing is what makes us happiest. There’s something really rewarding about knowing that the work we create is helping bring people through their doors and supporting their success.
We also love the creative side of what we do. Taking an idea from scratch and turning it into something real, whether it’s a fun skit, a promotion that gets people excited, or content that creates a memorable experience, is incredibly fulfilling.
At the end of the day, it’s the combination of creativity and impact that drives us. Being able to create something meaningful and see it resonate with real people is what makes all of this worth it.
