Terry, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
At 6 years old, I saw a Frank Frazetta, Conan book with a style of art I had never seen before. This sparked an intense interest me to do art in all forms.
I opened my studio when I was 26 years old, in 1996, after only 5 years in the tattoo industry. The first 5 years were a struggle to stay open. By 2006, Cat Tattoo was cemented as a cornerstone of the industry in DFW.
Now, at 21 years, the studio is a proving ground for international and national artists.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The first 5 years, I wasn’t sure week to week if we could keep the doors open. At one point ,it was only 1 piercer and myself working for 6 months. Struggles in my personal life and being a single father of two sons was weaved throughout.

Cat Tattoo was the first all custom tattoo studio in DFW, offering superior quality, and execution of many tattoo styles.
As a tattoo artist I specialize in Japanese and South Pacific Tribal.
I am most proud to say many international and national artists have launched their careers from my studio.
We seek out talent from multiple regions and build a creative community, where they can grow off the inspiration of each other and elevate one another.
Aside from being a renowned tattoo studio, we also offer body piercings with only the highest quality adornments from jewelers around the world, and physician supervised laser tattoo removal.
