Today we’d like to introduce you to Barri Cae Seif.
Hi Barri Cae, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
We began as a small humanitarian charity, desiring to bring aid to the underserved people of Israel. None of us get a paycheck; we are all volunteers. We serve twice yearly by raising funds to go to Israel, to serve and bless the very young to the very old.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
We see the underserved and unloved. This includes street prostitutes, drug addicts, homeless, wounded amputee soldiers, children in hospital beds, the elderly and Holocaust survivors, mommies who decide to keep their unborn babies, etc. People donate stuffed animals, funds to bless these individuals.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I never married until I was 62 years young. So during that time of singleness, I pursued a career as a manufacturers rep for a wholesale roofing corporation. I traveled quite a bit and was relocated several times in my job. I had earned a BA in college, and MBA and in 2004 a PhD in biblical studies. I did also begin teaching online in 2006 and I still teach online today. In addition to teaching undergraduate and graduate classes, I still oversee several Doctoral candidates for their work as I am their content expert.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love Dallas. I was born and grew up in Kansas City, but as soon as I graduated college, I had an opportunity to move to Dallas. I was here for 10 1/2 years until my job took me away to some different communities and states. However, when I got married 10 1/2 years ago, my husband lived in Dallas and moved me from Atlanta where I had lived for 15 years too, Wonderful Dallas, Texas. it is a perfect climate for weather and for business and for social, spiritual and recreational activities.
