Rising Stars: Meet LADY STOUT of New York

Today we’d like to introduce you to LADY STOUT.

Hi LADY, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m from a small town in Connecticut. I began my musical
journey as a drummer in my family’s church. I went from playing the
drums, singing in the choir, to the world stage.
I think of myself as a dynamic, unapologetic vocalist. I’m known for bridging genres like soul, jazz,
and rock with technical mastery and spiritual depth.

I have been blessed to
support and share stages with some of the most influential artists of our
time, including Alicia Keys, Kendrick Lamar (Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers),
Childish Gambino, Robert Glasper, Patti LaBelle, and Stevie Wonder. My
performance history includes appearances on The Tonight Show, the
Grammy Awards, Coachella, Bonnaroo, and sold-out venues across the U.S.
and internationally.
As a solo artist, I aim to create immersive live experiences that
transcend genre and performance, inviting audiences into moments of
reflection, freedom, and connection. Whether on festival stages, in
theaters, or intimate jazz rooms, my presence is marked by authenticity

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
no. It hasn’t been easy, but very rewarding and worth the journey.

I grew up in a small city, small church, but always had big dreams and visions

I am self taught, I had to learn everything from scratch. I had to learn by doing.
I wouldn’t trade my experience for anything.
