Today we’d like to introduce you to Samuel Hunt.
Hi Samuel, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My name is Samuel Hunt, some online might know me as “YFN Hunt”. It stand for ‘Your Friendly Neighbor”. I started off on social media with making music and uploading it to Soundcloud and Spotify and other streaming services. As I got more followers and more attention, I started collaborating more with brands and local businesses, and other creators and celebrities. Currently I consider myself a local influencer, who is also a college student at the University of North Texas.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s definitely been a little bit of a struggle since there’s always a lot of things going on at once. For example, currently I am having to manage brand deals, working on my recent album, finishing up my real estate license course, and finishing up my degree in Real Estate at University of North Texas. It’s a lot for me to manage in my 20’s but I’m trying my best and at the end of the day that’s all that matters.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am currently a local influencer in Dallas who does brand deals and collaborates with local businesses. I am also known for my music which has gotten over 2 million streams in total across all music streaming platforms. I am most proud of all the hard work I’ve put into my online career and that I continue to put into all my different projects. What I think sets men apart from others is how many projects I am working on at once.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
My pure grit is what I feel is most important to my success. I’ve been knocked down and struggled many times with life getting in the way of my goals, but each time I get back up and push harder.
