Exploring Life & Business with Jessika Guzman of TaskStream Solutions

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessika Guzman.

Hi Jessika, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Jessika. I grew up in a small town in East Texas and went to college at Sam Houston State. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising with a minor in Marketing. Worked in the fashion industry for years and then pivoted into a completely different industry. I started TaskStream Solutions 2 years ago. I have friends who own amazing businesses, but noticed that their online presence didn’t match the level of their service and/or products. So a lightbulb went off in my head. I could help them. At the time I was working as a project manager in the construction world and although I liked my job, I missed being creative so I figured this would be great for me. The more I thought about it, the more I felt like this was the right move for me. As weird as it might sound to some, I’ve actually never minded ads and commercials, I actually enjoyed seeing the creative ideas people came up with to promote businesses. That should have been an indicator early on.

Two years in, TaskStream Solutions has grown to serve multiple clients across different industries, and that growth has been one of the most validating parts of this journey. What I’ve learned is that creativity without strategy is just art, and strategy without creativity is just a spreadsheet. The magic is in the middle, and that’s where I try to live with every client I work with. My background in fashion taught me how to think visually and understand brand identity, and my years in project management taught me how to execute. Running a social media agency is really just those two things working together every single day.

I genuinely love what I do, and I think that comes through in the work. I’m building something that gives small businesses the kind of presence they deserve, one that actually reflects how good they are at what they do.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Absolutely not, and I think anyone who says otherwise is leaving something out.

The biggest thing I’ve had to wrestle with is self-doubt. Even with a background in fashion, marketing, and project management, there were so many moments where I questioned whether I was the right person to be doing this. Imposter syndrome is real, and it doesn’t care how qualified you are. I’d look at other agencies and wonder if I was good enough to compete, or if clients would take me seriously. Some days that voice was louder than others.
Getting clients has also been a challenge, especially in the beginning. Sales is a vulnerable thing. You’re essentially asking someone to trust you with something they’ve worked really hard to build, and hearing “no” or just silence can mess with your confidence if you let it. Learning how to put myself out there consistently, even when it felt uncomfortable, was something I had to work through.

But here’s what I keep coming back to: at some point, you have to decide to bet on yourself. Not because everything is figured out, but because you’re the only one who can actually do that for you. Every client I’ve landed, every piece of work I’m proud of, it all started with me choosing to keep going anyway. That shift in mindset has honestly been the biggest turning point in this whole journey.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
TaskStream Solutions is a full-service social media marketing agency built for small and local service-based businesses that are great at what they do but don’t have the time or strategy to show it online. We handle everything: content strategy, short-form video production, caption writing, and content scheduling. Basically, if it lives on your social media, we take care of it.

What sets us apart is the combination of taste and strategy. A lot of agencies will post for you, but posting without intention is just noise. Every client we work with gets a strategy behind their content, not just a calendar. I want the work to actually move the needle, not just fill a feed.

My background also plays a big role in how I approach this work. Years in the fashion industry trained me to think visually and take brand identity seriously. My time in project management taught me how to stay organized, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly with clients. Those two things together are a little unusual for this space, and I think it shows in the quality of what we produce.

But more than anything, I genuinely care about my clients’ businesses. These are real people who have poured themselves into what they’ve built, and I take that seriously. That’s not something you can fake, and I think it comes through in the work.
Brand-wise, the quality of the work is what I’m most proud of. I hold it to a high standard because my clients deserve that. When something goes out under the TaskStream name, I want it to be something we’re both proud of.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
There are a few ways to connect with TaskStream Solutions depending on where you are in the journey.
If you’re a small business owner who feels like your social media isn’t reflecting the quality of what you offer, I’d love to talk. You can visit the website at taskstreamsolutions.com to learn more about what we do and reach out directly from there.
If you’re not quite ready to work together but want to stay connected, give us a follow on Instagram at @taskstream_solutions. That’s where we share content around social media strategy, marketing tips, and what it actually looks like to build a brand with intention.

And honestly, one of the best ways to support a small business is simply to tell someone about them. If you know a business owner who could use a stronger presence online, sending them my way means more than you know. Referrals are everything in this world and I don’t take them lightly.
