Today we’d like to introduce you to Coach Light.
Hi Coach, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Coach Light is a young punk group hailing from Rockwall, Texas. After a year as a three piece; Chloe, Teagan, and Makenzie added bassist Eason to the band. Coming off a recent DFW mini tour with 5 sold out shows, the band aims to continue its streak of perfection in DFW’s punk scene.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Shifting sounds and changing members in an effort to create a cohesive team paid off when the band played a sold out show at McKinney’s Red Zeppelin records. A line down the block and a set so fast it left people’s head spinning solidified Coach Light’s presence in the scene. Be careful.. they’ll kick your ass.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are known for our loud and fast playing, a wall of sound. We’ve sold out our last string of shows and are set to sell out all upcoming ones.
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
Our influences include Ramones, Bikini Kill, Beastie Boys, and Black Flag.
