Rising Stars: Meet Braxton Welch of Dallas-Fort Worth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Braxton Welch.

Hi Braxton, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Braxton, and I have spent the past eight years bartending throughout the DFW area. During that time, I have worked across a wide range of environments, including brunch service, local neighborhood bars, high-energy beer gardens, and fine dining.

No matter the setting, one thing has always remained consistent: hospitality is more than serving drinks. It is about the atmosphere you create and the way guests experience a space from the moment they arrive.

That understanding is what led me to create Cherry Bomb Bartending. I wanted to build a mobile bartending experience that feels both elevated and approachable, a service where guests feel genuinely welcomed, well cared for, and at ease regardless of the scale or style of the event.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road, but the challenges have been more about growth than setbacks. Fully committing to something you built by yourself is not easy. You have to trust the process even when you’re not sure if you are doing everything right. There is also a learning curve that comes with doing something under your own name for the first time. You figure out pretty quickly what works and what needs to change, and you get better at it every time.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Cherry Bomb Bartending is a mobile dry hire bartending service, we bring the full bar experience directly to any event.

What I specialize in is the creative side of it. Crafting the menu, developing flavor profiles, the garnishes, the presentation, I want everything to feel like it was designed for that specific event, not just thrown together.

The goal is always classic, intentional service with a personality behind it. That formal style of hospitality while still being warm and approachable, that’s what I focus on bringing to every event.

That balance is what sets Cherry Bomb apart, making something feel elevated without making people feel like they can’t relax.

What I’m most proud of is the impact of the experience itself, knowing guests had an amazing time and the hosts feel fully satisfied with how everything came together. The most rewarding part is seeing everyone happy, engaged, and truly enjoying the event from start to finish.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
Honestly, it was equal parts scary and exciting. Going fully in on your own means there is no safety net, everything falls on you. But that’s also what made it worth doing for me. It’s not for everyone, and I respect that. But if you have something you genuinely believe in and enjoy doing, the harder question is why wouldn’t you bet on yourself.
