Rising Stars: Meet Keenan Cobb of Dallas-Fort Worth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Keenan Cobb.

Keenan, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My journey started simply, walking through downtown Dallas with nothing but my cellphone and a curiosity for the world around me. That curiosity grew into a passion, and I eventually picked up a camera and began exploring street photography. Along the way, I started connecting with models and investing in my craft by attending workshops in Dallas and Miami. Those experiences opened the door to fashion, editorial, and swimwear photography, which have become my favorite genres and the heart of what I do today.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road. Like many photographers, I’ve faced the challenge of finding my own style, figuring out what truly sets my work apart. Beyond that, one of the more frustrating realities of this industry is how often creative work is undervalued. From people expecting free photos to not fully appreciating the skill and effort behind the work, learning to advocate for my worth has been just as important as developing my craft.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I specialize in fashion, editorial, and swimwear photography, and I’ve built a reputation for a clean, refined aesthetic. Some of my most proud work has come through collaborations with swimwear brands, where I’ve been able to bring that vision to life in a meaningful way. What sets me apart is my intentional use of warmth and color, creating images that feel both polished and visually compelling.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is to keep going. Keep trying, keep experimenting, keep shooting, keep editing. Growth in photography doesn’t come from waiting for the perfect moment. It comes from putting in the work consistently and allowing yourself to evolve through the process.
