Hi bibi, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I went to school to become a professional jeweler and wanted to start my own body jewelry line, so naturally after graduation i got a piercing apprenticeship to learn everything i would need to about the brand i wanted to create, and fell in love with it and with the art i could create, it is a form of self expression for myself and my clients.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
absolutely not, it is not an easy industry to get into. You have to work full time for free during your apprenticeship for at least a year before I could even make any money. On top of financially posting the work that i do online was obviously very shocking to the masses and attracted a lot of negative attention. I had to learn to not pay attention to any negativity i face online.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a professional body piercer. I am known for most widely for performing complex piercings on myself, that no one else would be willing to do. I am most proud of my endurance and confidence in my line of work. I am always putting a creative spin on anything I do and it allows me to stand out in a saturated line of work. The way I present myself and my work, you know immediately that i am not “just a piercer.”
