Daily Inspiration: Meet Jack Brownley

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jack Brownley.

Hi Jack, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I began photography when I was 15, I quickly fell in love with the medium and began to further hone my skills. Later on, about 6 months later, I decided to photograph my friends concerts. I immediately knew that this was something I wanted to continue doing. Since then I have been working as a freelance concert photographer, reaching out to managers, creating contracts, photographing, and editing, all on my own.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has been challenging. As a 16 year old creative my age is a limiting factor, it makes it harder to network, and I am a full time student so that takes a good portion of my time too.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in concert photography. I think I am known for not only capturing a pretty photo, but the emotion and vibes present in the show. Many concert photographers will simply take a pretty photo, however through my editing, composing, and timing, I am able to capture the emotion behind the performance.

What does success mean to you?
I think success is different for everyone. In my eyes, to be successful is to be proud of your work and receive recognition for it.
