Today we’d like to introduce you to Terriel Scanterbury.
Hi Terriel, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’m originally from Brooklyn, New York I started playing music at the age of eight years old and through my journey of playing music. I have accomplished quite a bit in regards to the music industry. I moved to Dallas, Texas in 2005 surely after I started producing Christian rap artist for a few years eventually around 2010 2011 A transitioned into Christian DJ, which ultimately led me to becoming a mobile Dj and then transitioning into Club Dj. 2018. is when I really began my journey as a Club DJ
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Honestly, it hasn’t been a smooth road, but I wouldn’t have it any other way I think through all of my different transitions learning to adapt an improvise to accommodate the diverse type of crowds that I’ve had to accommodate have been a great challenge as well as a great pleasure coming from a musical background. It was fairly easy to adapt to not only DJ but DJ in Dallas, Texas more specifically learning the music, the culture and the people, and I think I’ve been able to successfully capture the ears and hearts of the crowds that I entertain.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I want professional DJ in the city. I specialize in bringing high energy sets to every event and gig that I do. I am most proud of the fact that I am of Caribbean descent and that growing up in our culture the DJs that we grew up around, always brought that high energy elevated vibe to everything that they did so I am especially proud of the fact thats a part of who I am and my DNA was sent me apart from other DJs is that I have learned how to control the crowd, knowing to give no one to take away no one to bring them up settle them down all while creating the best memories that they can have
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
What makes me happy is knowing that I can set a great example for my children lead by example for my children and show them that they are positive things that they can do to be successful and also get back to their community
