Today we’d like to introduce you to Tylen Miller.
Hi Tylen, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Creating looks that make me feel confident is something that I’ve always enjoyed doing. When you get to dress up and look great, it is a very good feeling. However, I wasn’t always able to travel places or attend the kinds of events I imagined when initially getting into fashion. Despite this fact, I still wanted a reason to dress up and show creativity.
This is what inspired me to start creating content online and showcasing all of the outfits that I put together. One day, I just got up and decided to order everything I knew I wanted for my background — a neon sign, rug, clothing rack, and some hangers. I had a plan — not a fully formed one at the time, but I definitely knew what direction I wanted to go in with my content. Once I received everything and put it all together, I had my iPhone propped up and ready to record. What started as simply sharing looks and personal style slowly grew into a passion for content creation, fashion collaborations, and building a community around confidence and self-expression.
Within just 2–3 months, I had a brand reach out to me to do a collaboration, and the rest was history. As time went on, I began to grow more and work with more brands while forming and maintaining multiple long-lasting relationships with them.
Over time, I’ve had the opportunity to work with different brands, improve my creative skills, and continue growing my platform while staying true to my style and personality.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not always been a smooth road for me. One thing I struggled with was making sure my content quality was the best it could be. Over time, I invested in additional lighting to brighten my setup and eventually upgraded my cameras as well. Quality was something I constantly worried about in the beginning, but through patience and continuous improvement, I’ve been able to grow significantly and overcome many of the challenges that once affected me.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
In addition to doing content creation and fashion, I also have experience not only in gaming and streaming, but in working in tech fields as well. I have been streaming myself playing video games and attending events since around 2020, where I’ve built a strong community that supports me. In addition to this, I’ve worked in development, technical support, and QA-related roles, and all of these experiences have helped me build strong problem-solving skills along with attention to detail.
One thing that I’m most proud of is being able to balance all of these worlds. I am constantly learning and growing in all aspects of fashion, gaming, and tech while continuously pushing myself to improve.
I think what sets me apart is my versatility. I’m able to balance creativity with technical thinking while still staying authentic to my personality and style.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I do consider myself a risk-taker. Sometimes, you have to take risks in life, and that is exactly what I did when I started my content creation journey. Putting myself out there for everyone to see was definitely a risk for me. When you start creating content and posting yourself online, you open yourself up to opinions, criticism, and judgment from people you may not even know. That was something I wasn’t sure I was ready for, but I still decided to go forward with it.
