Community Highlights: Meet Triston Brown of T Money Shots Productions

Today we’d like to introduce you to Triston Brown.

Hi Triston, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m a 32-year-old entrepreneur, born and raised in Dallas. Growing up, I always wanted to travel, but it wasn’t something I could afford at the time. That changed when I was 21 and my mom helped me get started in the travel industry as a travel agent. From there, I began traveling as much as I could and helping others do the same.
Around that same time, I wanted to capture my experiences through photos and videos, but | didn’t have a camera. I borrowed my mom’s camera, taught myself how to use it, and quickly fell in love with photography and videography. What started as a hobby turned into a real passion.
When COVID hit, I decided to take that passion seriously. In 2021, I turned my hobby into a business and launched T Money Shots Productions. The name comes from my first initial, and “Money Shots” represents my mindset-I’m always looking to capture that perfect, standout moment.
My company offers a wide range of photography and videography services, including portraits. weddings. Special events, corporate events, and many more.
What sets me apart is my focus on great customer service, affordable pricing, and high-quality work. I make sure every client not only receives a great final product but also has a great experience throughout the entire process.
I take pride in delivering work that helps people preserve special memories or elevate their brand to the next level.
What I’m most proud of is seeing my clients’ reactions when they receive their photos or videos. Knowing they’re happy and that I helped bring their vision to life is everything to me.
That’s when I know I got the “money shot.” At T Money Shots Productions, every shot is the money shot.
On the travel side of my business, I also help clients plan and book their trips. I offer flights, hotels, rental cars, excursions, and full vacation packages, always working to get my clients the best value possible through my vendors.
Overall, I want people to know that I’m passionate about what I do, I take pride in n work, and I’m committed to delivering quality results every time .

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it definitely hasn’t always been a smooth road. In the beginning, I had to take a lot of free or low-cost photo jobs just to build my experience, improve my skills, and get my name out there. It took time, patience, and consistency before things really started improving.

One of the biggest struggles was learning new equipment and dealing with technical issues. Even now, equipment problems can happen at any time. When I first started, I was working on an older computer that was very slow and would sometimes crash while I was editing because the software was too advanced for it. There were times I lost work and had to start edits all over again if the files didn’t save properly.

As I continued growing my business, I was eventually able to invest in better equipment, which made my workflow much easier and more efficient. Those challenges taught me patience, problem-solving, and how important it is to stay consistent even when things don’t go as planned.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
My business focuses on photography and videography, with a strong emphasis on capturing high-quality visuals that tell a story and create lasting memories. I specialize in events such as corporate gatherings, galas, birthday celebrations, graduations, and luxury-style content, while also offering professional photography and video services for brands and businesses.

What sets my business apart is the attention to detail, creativity, and the overall experience I provide for clients. I don’t just show up and take photos or videos — I focus on capturing genuine moments, the atmosphere, and the energy of an event in a way that feels cinematic and timeless. I’m always looking for ways to improve my quality by investing back into my business through better equipment, learning new techniques, and staying up to date with industry trends.

I think what people know me for most is consistency and professionalism. I take pride in delivering content that makes clients feel proud of their event, brand, or special moment. Whether it’s a corporate gala, a milestone celebration, or a creative shoot, I want every client to feel like their vision was brought to life at a high level.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of how far I’ve come from starting with borrowed equipment to building a business that continues to grow and attract bigger opportunities. Every project has helped build my reputation and push my creativity further. I want readers to know that my brand is built on passion, reliability, and the desire to create visuals that people can look back on and truly connect with for years to come.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, I was more on the quiet side at first, but once I got comfortable around people, I would open up more. I’ve always had a solid group of friends and enjoyed being around positive people. In school, I was an A and B student, and I played a variety of sports throughout my life, which helped teach me discipline, teamwork, and competitiveness.

Personality-wise, I’ve always been interested in fun experiences, adventure, and anything hands-on or creative. I enjoyed learning how things worked and liked being active and involved rather than just sitting still. Looking back, I think those interests naturally connect to what I do now with photography and videography because I’ve always been drawn to creativity, movement, and capturing experiences
