Hi Rickeelon, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Last time we spoke I was an acclaimed creative director. Now my beauty & esthetician brand, Tsunami Sensations, has flourished. After receiving my esthetician license and building my clientele I am one of the most top rated in the DFW. From professional athlete clientele to other public figures requesting my sensational service directly. That included with my status as a recording artist as well has helped build my brand and shape me into the mogul I’m growing to be.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It wasn’t always easy, being an entrepreneur will have its slow periods and booked & busy days! Tsunami Sensations is my baby, it came to me in a vision as I’ve always been into beauty so I knew not to give up on it; and, to continue to build and evolve it into the mogul brand I know it can be.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
As a professional esthetician my biggest category has been my waxing. Smooth, efficient , and sensational service on both men and women. There’s not many male estheticians in Dallas let alone a black, queer, androgynous one, haha. So a lot of that demographic feel very comfortable with me and I get a lot of support from LGBTQ+ companies and individuals.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
In high school, I was considered the leader or the “gay clique” as they would say, ah ha haa, no but seriously. I was the one doing all the queer kids makeup, putting on the lashes, etc. That’s how I knew I was destined for this, I truly have always had an interest in beauty and making people feel comfortable with themselves.
