Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristin Hiett.
Hi Kristin, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My journey with stones began in childhood, sparked by a fascination with the earth’s most beautiful, natural art. Over the years, I taught myself the craft of jewelry making, drawn exclusively to gemstones and crystals for their unique, natural frequencies. While a career in the corporate world temporarily took center stage, my passion never faded; I continued crafting one-of-a-kind pieces for loved ones and my own personal enjoyment.
When I retired from corporate life, I returned to my true calling full-time and founded B Stoned, LLC. Today, my custom designs are truly wearable art, created for anyone who appreciates unique craftsmanship. My work has been available at the beautiful Skypony Gallery. I enjoy connecting people with B Stoned products at local pop-ups in the DFW area.
I live and breathe my work—crystals fill every room of my home, inspiring my creativity and bringing harmony to my daily life. I believe that when a gemstone’s natural energy aligns with your own, it can offer peace, tranquility, and protection. For those who believe in the traditional power of master crystal healing, my wearable art is designed to help open blockages, clear imbalances, and bring your body back into alignment.
You can connect with B Stoned on Instagram, You Tube, LinkedIn, Facebook and Tik Tok.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Most of my struggles were getting started, and finding a customer base. I sought out a couple of entrepreneur organizations, The Girl Cave and E Women in Business and joined. I found instant friendship, referrals and help in kick starting my business.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My creativity doesn’t stop at the jeweler’s bench. I have been a writer for most of my life, and this past February, my lifelong love for poetry culminated in the release of my book, Somewhere in Time, now available on Amazon. My past is a vibrant tapestry of artistic adventures—from painting, to collecting more guitars than I care to admit, to producing the cable TV show New Coast Entertainment back in the 90’s. I managed a rock band and co wrote (lyricist) for our original music. I took them on prison tours as well as booked them in local clubs. I have original songs archived in the Library of Congress.
Today, I live surrounded by crystals in every room of my home to inspire harmony and creativity. Whether through a hand-strung necklace or a written verse, my goal remains the same: to create art that aligns with the soul and brings peace, balance, and inspiration to your life.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I’ve always taken risks although somewhat carefully. My decisions are generally based on contemplating consequences as well as wins and what those outcomes may look like.
When I started my company, I gave it a lot of thought and waited well over a year to apply for my LLC. In the corporate stage of my life, risk taking was a part of being a CEO. It is what many CEOs do along with analyzing everything. I still have that side of me from spending so many years in that environment which I think helps me discipline myself in my business.
