Meet O’Dasha Collins of DashofDaysh

Today we’d like to introduce you to O’Dasha Collins.

Hi O’Dasha, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’m O’Dasha Collins, a Dallas-based digital content creator, entrepreneur, and full-time CEO building brands at the intersection of beauty, lifestyle, storytelling, and social commerce.

My entrepreneurial journey started long before content creation became my full-time career. I became a mom at 16, and that experience completely reshaped the way I approached life, ambition, and success. Instead of allowing my circumstances to define me, I became determined to create a different story—not just for myself, but for my baby. I went on to graduate in the top 10 of my high school class, earn merit scholarships, graduate college, and continue building a life rooted in resilience, creativity, and purpose.

I originally started creating content in 2019 as a creative outlet through YouTube, sharing fashion, lifestyle, and personal growth content simply because I loved it. Over time, that passion evolved into a full-scale business. What began as content creation for fun has grown into a thriving creator commerce business where I partner with beauty and lifestyle brands, create performance-driven digital campaigns, and help shape how products are discovered and sold in the social media era.

Today, I’ve built a six-figure creator business, generated six figures in affiliate revenue, and established myself as a top-performing creator in the social commerce space, currently ranking within TikTok Shop’s top 10% of affiliates—with my sights set even higher. My audience knows me for blending authentic storytelling with strategy, whether I’m sharing beauty favorites, motherhood moments, entrepreneurship lessons, or content that genuinely converts.

I’ve also had the opportunity to be recognized by platforms themselves, including recent invitations from TikTok to major creator events, including one of the platform’s largest K-beauty creator experiences—an exciting reflection of the beauty and commerce space I continue to grow within.

Beyond content, I’m also the founder of The AJ Collection, a family-inspired lifestyle brand named after my three children. Building that brand gave me another layer of perspective as both a creator and product-based entrepreneur, and deepened my love for building meaningful experiences rooted in motherhood, confidence, and ownership.

At the core of everything I create is connection. I’ve always wanted my platforms to feel like the trusted homegirl who teaches you what she’s learned—whether that’s beauty, business, content creation, or navigating life’s pivots with ambition and grace.

What excites me most is that this feels like the beginning of an even bigger chapter. I’m stepping into a season focused on premium brand partnerships, ambassador opportunities, broader media visibility, and continuing to show women—especially mothers—that reinvention is always possible, and success doesn’t have to look traditional to be extraordinary.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Entrepreneurship has absolutely not been a smooth road—and I actually think that’s one of the biggest misconceptions people have when they only see the highlight reel.

In November 2023, I made the decision to leave my full-time job after a major breakthrough in my creator business, earning over $10,000 in just three days through affiliate marketing. From the outside, it probably looked like everything was taking off overnight, but entrepreneurship has a way of humbling you quickly.

For several months, things were going well—but then the market shifted. Platform performance slowed, creator income became less predictable, and at the same time, my partner lost his job. Shortly after, I became pregnant with my third child, and that pregnancy was incredibly difficult. I was sick almost every single day, physically exhausted, emotionally stretched, and trying to continue running a business while carrying the weight of uncertainty.

There were moments where I genuinely questioned everything. As an entrepreneur, there’s no guaranteed paycheck, no roadmap, and no one talking enough about what happens when momentum slows. Social media often glamorizes entrepreneurship, but behind the scenes, there are real moments of fear, pivots, setbacks, and having to figure things out in real time.

What changed everything for me was choosing not to quit.

I stayed consistent. I kept learning. I studied the creator economy more deeply, diversified my revenue streams, and stopped relying on one single platform or income source to carry everything.

That shift led to some of my biggest breakthroughs yet—including my highest earning day and my first $12,000+ month.

More importantly, it changed the way I view success.

Entrepreneurship taught me resilience, strategy, and faith in a way nothing else could. It taught me that success isn’t about never struggling—it’s about continuing to build anyway.

And as a mother of three, that lesson means everything to me, because every challenge has only reinforced why I started in the first place: creating freedom, stability, and a bigger legacy for my family.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
DashofDaysh is a lifestyle-driven digital media brand built around beauty, motherhood, entrepreneurship, and modern creator-led commerce.

I’ve built my business by turning authentic storytelling into measurable impact—whether that’s helping women discover products they genuinely love, educating aspiring creators on monetization, or building trust-driven communities through relatable content.

What makes my brand unique is that I don’t approach content as “just influencing.” I approach it as strategy, storytelling, and conversion.

As a top-performing affiliate marketer and content creator, I specialize in beauty and lifestyle campaigns that blend entertainment with performance marketing. I’ve generated six figures in affiliate sales through authentic content and have partnered with both emerging and established brands across beauty, skincare, wellness, and lifestyle. My audience knows me as the “informative homegirl”—someone who keeps it real while helping them save money, discover standout products, and feel more confident.

Beyond digital partnerships, I’m also the founder of The AJ Collection, a family-inspired brand named after my three children, offering luxury silk accessories and expanding into beauty and lifestyle products.

What I’m most proud of is building a business rooted in resilience and authenticity. My journey didn’t begin with perfect circumstances—it began with faith, consistency, and the decision to keep going, even when entrepreneurship felt uncertain.

At the core of everything I build is impact. Whether I’m creating viral TikTok Shop content, working with major beauty brands, mentoring through my content, or expanding my own businesses, my mission is simple: create freedom, legacy, and representation for women who are building something bigger for themselves and their families.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Something people may find surprising about me is that while I’m deeply business-minded and highly driven, I’m actually a huge goofball in real life. I love to laugh, be playful, and create fun memories with the people I love.

I’m also incredibly competitive—which surprises people until they learn I was an athlete. I competed in track and even won a high school championship ring, and I also played tennis. That competitive spirit definitely shows up in business now, but it started long before entrepreneurship.

Another fun fact is that I played keyboard growing up and have always had creative interests outside of content creation.

As much as people know me today for beauty, business, and digital entrepreneurship, I’m in a season where I want to reconnect with the hobbies and parts of myself I loved before life got busy—things like being active again, playing tennis, and simply making more room for joy.

I think entrepreneurship, motherhood, and ambition can make you so focused on building that you forget to nurture the person behind the brand. So this chapter for me is about both growth and rediscovery.
