Hi Oron “Johnny”, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I have always worked with vehicles. In the military I was a driver of large tanks and other military vehicles. After the military I did a stint as a truck driver. Eventually I found locksmith work which is what I am truly passionate about. After apprenticing for other companies and seeing some things I did not like (bait and switch pricing, price gouging, etc.) I decided I wanted open my own company and do things differently. When I opened my business back in 2014 my goal was to create a locksmith service that was different; a service that aligned with my values. This is why we have one of the best online locksmith ratings all across Dallas and Collin Counties. Every business says they care about customer satisfaction but we live it! For me reading the customer reviews every evening really makes my day and reminds me why I started this business in the first place. We are a family owned and operated company and we value transparency, honesty, and dedication to every customer.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth road. When I first started this business I was living out of a hotel room and taking jobs around the clock; if I got a call at 3am, I had to go! It took many years of hard work and dedication to build myself and skills to a point where I can operate a business that supports my family. I am now proudly a homeowner raising beautiful children with my wife. I am grateful every day that I am fortunate enough to only work 6 days per week and take nights off. I will occasionally answer an after hours emergency service call but I have the freedom and flexibility to choose whether I am heading back out to work or reading my son his bedtime stories.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I offer residential, commercial, and automotive services. A common question we get is about house keys; we do not duplicate house keys but we can help you with most other locksmith needs. We are a family owned business priding ourselves on skilled service, honest work, and competitive pricing. We provide service for car lockouts ,residential lockouts, repairing locks, business lockouts, lock changes, lock rekeying, mailbox lock changes, cabinet lock changes, and car keys made. We also provide new key fobs and key replacements, fix broken car keys, replace misplaced keys, and assist with keys not working. I am proud of my pricing transparency. Many customers tend to choose the lowest price when choosing a locksmith not knowing that many companies will raise the price upon arrival. I lose many jobs by quoting the full price upfront because I do not appear to be the cheapest option but I refuse to bait and switch the customer. If having integrity means losing jobs, so be it.

The best way to start out is to start working for an existing company who is willing to train you. This usually means long and inconvenient work hours for low pay. But if this is a trade you love and are passionate about, don’t give up. You can eventually find a company with good hours and values that match yours or even start your own company like I did.
