Check Out Jenni Dale Lord’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jenni Dale Lord.

Hi Jenni Dale, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Music has been a part of me for as long as I can remember. My mom put me in piano lessons at four years old, I wrote my first song around eight, and then I picked up the guitar when I was 11. I’ve been playing it ever since.

Fast forward thirty years, and I’m about to release my 9th album with the 10th already in the works. Writing songs is my passion, and somewhere along the way I’ve fallen in love with performing them, although truthfully, I’d love to hear other people sing them someday.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’d say the music business is one of the most challenging, for sure. It’s everybody’s dream job so there’s a lot of competition, and it’s not a cheap one to pursue either. Good quality equipment and production is very important in order to create the best sound. On top of that, music is subjective, so you’re always up against people’s tastes and preferences.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m an award winning singer-songwriter and versatile musician whose style seamlessly blends elements of country, rock, and blues, creating a unique sound that resonates with a wide audience.

I perform nationally as a solo artist or with my band whenever possible. Our collective efforts have led to the release of several successful albums, with multiple singles charting on Texas radio. Notably, I have collaborated with esteemed artists such as Joe Ely, Kenny Maines, Darrin Morris, and Billie Jo Jones.

In October 2024, I released my eighth studio album, “A Million Moments,” recorded at Amusement Park Studio in Lubbock under the direction of gold-record producer Scott Faris. The album features collaborations with Grammy-winner Sunny Sauceda and Texas Country star Jerrod Medulla, showcasing musical depth and storytelling prowess.

My contributions to music have been recognized by the Texas Regional Radio Music Association and The Josie Music Awards, earning multiple nominations. I secured the Female Artist of the Year award and Song of the Year awards from the Texas Internet Radio Chart, as well as Lubbock’s LHUCA William D. Kerns Award for the Performing Arts.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I believe AI is the biggest challenge we face both now and in the future. The ability to “write” songs without any need for talent or capability will flood the market with ingenuous fluff and make an already difficult market even harder to navigate. I can only hope that when it happens (which it already is), people will react by wanting real music created by real people; that the revolt to artificial intelligence will be a desire for true human thought and interaction.
