Hi Michael, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Hello, my name is Michael Kelly aka Coach Kelly. I started my coaching journey in 2021 where I met my mentor Coach Charles Williams. I’ve been coaching under him at PSA and I’ve coached at Legacy Christian Academy from 2021-2025. (Middle school girls)
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Has this journey been smooth? Not really. Like I always say, “if it isn’t challenging you, then it’s not worth it.” Coaching has it’s ups and downs, especially when you’re starting from the bottom, but it’s what I love to do. The passion I have for the kids and the game is what keeps me going

Hello, I am a basketball coach/trainer. I help cultivate the skills of our athletes, but most importantly, I help build character on and off the court. Basketball was an avenue for me where I learned the fundamentals and life lessons, so I just want to pass down what I’ve learned
What makes you happy?
The biggest thing that makes me happy about coaching is lives/character changing. A win is great but to see a boy/girl transform into a man/woman, beats it all
