Hi Greggy, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I have been working in Kuwait since 2014, starting with McDonald’s. Over the years, I have progressed through different companies and I am now part of the team at Grand Hyatt Kuwait.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like any career path, it had its challenges. Balancing a busy work schedule while improving my craft took a lot of effort, but every struggle helped me grow. I’m proud of the progress I’ve made since starting in 2014.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am most proud of my career progression and my dedication to continuous learning. Starting from the ground up in the service industry and working my way into prestigious roles in luxury hospitality has been a significant achievement. I am also proud of successfully balancing my professional career with personal creative projects and entrepreneurship.
What sets me apart is my unique toolkit. Because I have a background in both Fine Arts and technical software like AutoCAD and Blender, I can bridge the gap between traditional hand-style artistry and modern digital design. This ‘hybrid’ approach allows me to solve creative problems from multiple angles that others might miss.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
Design Apps: I rely on Blender for 3D sculpting and AutoCAD and sketchUp 3D for technical precision. For digital illustration, I primarily use Krita and Adobe Creative Suite.
