Community Highlights: Meet Amanda Greehey of William Grayson Realty

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Greehey.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
After my husband and I welcomed our son in 2013, I knew I wanted a career that would allow me to truly be present while raising him. Like many moms, I was trying to figure out how to balance motherhood with having a fulfilling career of my own.

During maternity leave, I had the opportunity to work as a Transaction Coordinator for a real estate team, and that experience completely opened my eyes to the industry. After returning to the corporate world for about three months, I quickly realized it was no longer the path I wanted for my life or my family.

My husband and I made the decision to take a leap of faith together and pursue careers in real estate full time. We attended Champions School of Real Estate together, studied side by side, and ended up receiving our licenses on the exact same day. Thankfully I passed the same day as my husband…because honestly, I would probably still never hear the end of it if I hadn’t.

What started as a desire to create a more intentional life for our family turned into a career and business that we truly love. Real estate has given us the opportunity to help others through some of the biggest moments of their lives while also building a life that aligns with our values and priorities.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Haha, anything but! Real estate has been one of the most rewarding careers, but definitely not the easiest. Like most entrepreneurs, we’ve experienced plenty of ups and downs over the years. There were seasons where business was booming and seasons where we questioned everything.

Building a business together as husband and wife while raising a child has come with its own set of challenges too. Real estate is not just a job…it becomes part of your lifestyle. There are long hours, difficult transactions, market shifts, and a lot of pressure that people on the outside do not always see.

But through all of it, we’ve learned resilience, adaptability, and the importance of building genuine relationships with people. The difficult seasons honestly shaped us the most, both personally and professionally. Looking back now, I’m grateful the road wasn’t smooth because those experiences taught us so much and helped us grow into the business owners and people we are today.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about William Grayson Realty?
My husband and I own and operate a real estate brokerage together, and one of the things we are most passionate about is helping people navigate major life transitions with confidence and honesty. Real estate is so much more than buying and selling homes-it is often tied to some of the biggest decisions and seasons in a person’s life. We never take that responsibility lightly.

Over the years, we have worked with a wide variety of clients, from first-time homebuyers to luxury properties, acreage, relocation clients, and families looking to make more intentional lifestyle changes. We are especially known for building genuine relationships with our clients and being very hands-on throughout the process. Our clients know they are not just another transaction to us.

I think what truly sets us apart is our approachability, transparency, and the level of care we put into every client experience. We believe communication matters, integrity matters, and people deserve to work with someone who will advocate for them while also keeping things real. We are very relationship-driven, and a large portion of our business comes from repeat clients and referrals, which means the world to us.

Brand wise, I am probably most proud that we have built a business that feels authentic to who we are. We have never tried to fit into the “traditional real estate” mold. We value family, faith, connection, and living intentionally, and I think people can feel that when they work with us.

More than anything, I want people to know that our goal is not just to help someone buy or sell a house-it is to help them create a life they truly love.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
One of my favorite childhood memories was riding 3-wheelers with my grandpa while helping him collect cans along the side of the road. Looking back now, it was such a simple thing, but those are the moments that stay with me the most.

There was just something special about being with him…no distractions, no rush, just time together. Those memories remind me that some of the best parts of life are often the simplest ones. Honestly, I think a lot of my appreciation for intentional living and family came from moments like that growing up.
