Check Out Laleh Nozari’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Laleh Nozari.

Hi Laleh, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started drawing and painting at an early age and began to study in the area of painting since age fifteen. Because of my passion for painting and dedication to fine-art, I completed my doctorate in painting at Mimarsinan University in Istanbul, Turkey. During that time, I had the honor to work with well-known artists such as Nosratollah Moslemian, Devrim Erbil, and Tanju Demirc. Most of my paintings are combination of figurative and landscape subjects. I represent the integration of art and culture in my works and living in East and West has had a great influence on my paintings. I have been inspired by expressionism artists. My paintings reflect the human emotions, hopes, fears and making connections. I use acrylic on canvas. My art-works have been published in several newspapers and magazines in Iran and Turkey as well as being covered by media such as TRT 1, BBC, and CNN news channels. As an artist, I believe in life-long learning, creativity, hard work and dedication.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road as an artist. Every time I moved, I had to rebuild my network, adapt to new cultures, and find inspiration in completely unfamiliar environments. Constantly starting over was difficult, but it shaped my creativity and made my art more diverse and meaningful.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in figurative and landscape painting, using acrylic on canvas to explore human emotions, connection, and cultural identity. My work is deeply shaped by my experiences living between Eastern and Western cultures, which gives my paintings a distinct blend of expressionism and personal storytelling. What I am most proud of is creating art that resonates emotionally with people across different backgrounds while continuing to grow through lifelong learning and dedication to my craft.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
I believe adaptability has been one of the most important qualities behind my success as an artist. Experiencing different cultures, environments, and artistic influences has taught me how to continuously grow while staying true to my creative voice. Dedication, curiosity, and a commitment to lifelong learning have also played a major role in shaping my journey.
