Hi Destinee, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Since I began cosplaying in 2017 and creating content in 2020, I have built a diverse portfolio covering anime, cartoons, movies, video games, and original designs. I am deeply passionate about fandoms and fostering community among fellow enthusiasts. I enjoy inspiring others to express themselves through art and media as well
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Being a person of color and plus size does make for challenges in the world of social media for sure! So many judgmental people who hate to see me shine because I don’t have the ideal look or body for public standards.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Im actually a CNA on a transplant unit as my main income job! But I do my art and cosplay as a hobby and thing I enjoy that also brings in some income as well! Im known more as a cosplayer but I started off mainly as an artist from a young age! I’ve always enjoyed the arts and being creative! I do both now! Im most proud of my page following that I’ve built up over the years along with the friends ive met because of it!
Who else deserves credit in your story?
The heavy lifting of everything has definitely been on me but as far as support goes, my parent for always supporting my artistic talents with art supplies and love! And my loving partner for supporting my dreams and ambitions in whatever I want to do!
