Today we’d like to introduce you to Sebastian Cosme.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’ve always been someone who enjoys building things and connecting with people. I moved to Oklahoma in 2006 and over the years worked in several industries, eventually becoming a petroleum landman. While working full time, I started pursuing my passion for entertainment and media by creating The Loud Spot, a rock and metal podcast focused on giving artists and creators a platform to share their stories.
What started as a small passion project slowly grew into a real brand and community. It took years of consistency, learning, and adapting before the podcast became profitable, but that journey taught me a lot about persistence, branding, networking, and entrepreneurship. Through interviewing musicians, business owners, fighters, and creators, I realized how much I enjoyed helping connect people and ideas.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely not a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges was balancing multiple responsibilities while trying to build something meaningful from the ground up. I was working full time while growing The Loud Spot. There were a lot of late nights, long weekends, and moments where progress felt very slow.
One of the hardest parts was consistency. A lot of people start projects, but very few stick with them when growth is slow or when there’s little financial return in the beginning. It took years before The Loud Spot really started gaining traction, and there were definitely moments of self-doubt along the way. Learning production, marketing, branding, networking, and social media all at the same time was overwhelming at first, but those challenges forced me to grow quickly.
And one more hard part, finding the right cohosts to help with the show and then relying on them to also be consistent. This has proved to be difficult, but I feel we finally have a solid team.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’d describe my work as a mix of creativity, entrepreneurship, and community building. I’m the founder and host of The Loud Spot, where I’ve spent years interviewing musicians, fighters, entrepreneurs, and creators while building a platform focused on authentic conversations and entertainment. The show started as a passion project centered around rock and metal culture, but it eventually evolved into a larger media brand with a loyal audience and live streaming community.
Outside of media, I’ve also moved heavily into technology and business development. I co-founded HireSnap, an AI-powered hiring platform focused on making recruiting simpler and more efficient for companies and job seekers. I enjoy creating solutions to real-world problems, especially when technology can improve people’s everyday experiences.
What I’m most proud of is building these projects from the ground up while continuing to work full time and learn along the way. None of it happened overnight. Everything came through consistency, persistence, and a willingness to keep adapting even when things were difficult.
As far as what sets us apart, I will go with the other hosts. All of our personalities really make the show fun. Outside of myself, we have Jordan Caparell, Mike Moon, Jamie Garcia, and Diego Taormina. It really is a collaboration of all of our personalities combined that make the shows hilarious and never insightful. (Yes I said never insightful on purpose). LOL
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
Honestly, not really. I apply real world situations and learn from my own failures. I never believed in having outside influence. Most people like to learn from others, and I get that, but I like to create my own path. Maybe its not a good thing, but it’s how I am.
