Today we’d like to introduce you to Giovana Edwards.
Hi Giovana, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m originally from Brazil and moved to Texas in 2023 as an au pair. At the time, I was stepping into a completely new phase of life, a new country, a new culture, a new language, and honestly, a lot of uncertainty. As exciting as it was, moving away from everything familiar also came with loneliness and the challenge of rebuilding my life from scratch.
I’ve always been drawn to the creative side of things. Even before moving to the U.S., I loved branding, social media, storytelling, content creation, and creating experiences that make people feel connected. While working as an au pair and later teaching toddlers, I slowly started rebuilding my career in marketing through freelance projects, which eventually grew into my creative marketing agency, CloudHaus Marketing.
At the same time, I found myself struggling to make genuine friendships and find community in a completely new place. I missed having “my people” around me. What started as a personal desire to create friendships and meaningful connections eventually became The Pink Haus Club. As I began organizing small events and bringing women together, I quickly realized so many other women were experiencing that same loneliness and disconnection, especially after moving cities, working remotely, becoming moms, or entering a new season of life.
Today, The Pink Haus Club has grown into a women’s social club based in North Dallas focused on creating real-life connections through events like pickleball, volleyball, Pilates, coffee meetups, girls nights, wellness events, and social activities. What started as a simple idea grew incredibly fast because it became clear that women were truly craving spaces where they could feel welcomed, safe, and connected.
Looking back, every part of my journey somehow connected together. Moving countries taught me resilience, marketing gave me a creative outlet, and The Pink Haus Club gave purpose to many of the experiences I went through personally. Today, my biggest passion is building spaces, brands, and experiences that help people feel connected both online and in real life.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not at all. I think one of the biggest struggles was how many major life changes happened in such a short period of time. I moved from Brazil to Tennessee as an au pair, completely leaving behind everything familiar to me. I was adapting to a new country, culture, language, and lifestyle while also trying to figure out who I wanted to become here in the U.S.
During that season of my life, I also met my husband, got married, and eventually moved again to Texas to start a new chapter together. As exciting as those moments were, there were also a lot of emotional adjustments happening behind the scenes. Starting over multiple times in different places can feel very isolating, especially being far away from family and longtime friendships.
Professionally, rebuilding my career was another challenge. I’ve always loved the creative and marketing world, but moving countries meant I had to slowly rebuild my confidence, network, and opportunities from the beginning again. I balanced different jobs while growing freelance marketing projects on the side and trying to create something stable for myself.
The Pink Haus Club actually came from a lot of those personal experiences. After moving to Texas, I realized how hard it can be for women to build real friendships and community as adults, especially after moving cities, getting married, working remotely, or entering new phases of life. I related to that deeply because I had gone through it myself.
Building the club has been incredibly rewarding, but it also takes a lot of emotional energy, planning, leadership, and consistency behind the scenes. Still, I think every struggle along the way helped shape what I’m building now. A lot of the heart behind The Pink Haus Club comes from personally understanding what it feels like to search for belonging and connection in a completely new place.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Most of my work today is centered around building The Pink Haus Club, a women’s social club based in North Dallas focused on creating real friendships and community through social and wellness events. We host things like pickleball, Pilates, volleyball, coffee meetups, girls nights, book clubs, and different experiences that bring women together in a genuine and welcoming way.
I’d say I specialize in creating experiences, communities, and environments that feel warm, intentional, creative, and emotionally connected. I’ve always been very drawn to the artistic side of things, especially aesthetics, storytelling, branding, design, and creating spaces that make people feel something. I care a lot about atmosphere and details because I think people remember how you made them feel more than anything else.
I also have a very big personality and naturally thrive in fast-paced environments where I’m balancing multiple things at once. Right now, I honestly do a little bit of everything, from planning events and building community to creative direction, branding, organizing partnerships, content ideas, and growing the overall vision behind the club. I love creating, connecting people, and bringing ideas to life.
Thankfully, I also have two amazing employees back in Brazil, Giovanna and Beatriz, who help me tremendously behind the scenes. The Pink Haus Club would absolutely not have grown this quickly without them. Being able to work with other creative women from my home country while building something here in Texas has been really special to me.
What I’m most proud of is seeing how much impact the community has had on women’s lives in such a short amount of time. Watching women come to events alone and leave with friendships, confidence, and a sense of belonging has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
I think what sets me apart is that I genuinely lead with emotion, creativity, and connection first. I don’t approach things from a transactional mindset. I care deeply about creating spaces and experiences that feel authentic, beautiful, welcoming, and human. I think people can feel that energy, and that’s a big part of why the community has connected with so many women so quickly.
What are your plans for the future?
Right now, I’m really focused on continuing to grow The Pink Haus Club into something much bigger than just social events. My vision for the future is creating a true space for women to connect, feel inspired, and build community in real life, especially in a world where so much interaction happens online now.
One of my biggest dreams is eventually opening a physical The Pink Haus Club location here in Texas. I imagine it as a creative and social space designed for women, with things like pickleball courts, wellness classes, Pilates, coffee, coworking spaces, social events, and areas where women can genuinely spend time together and build friendships. I would also love to include a childcare space for stay-at-home moms and mothers who often struggle to find spaces where they can socialize, work out, relax, or simply exist outside of motherhood for a little while without feeling excluded.
I want the space to feel warm, feminine, inspiring, creative, and community-driven. Somewhere women can come alone and still feel comfortable and welcomed.
I’m also excited to continue growing the creative side of the brand through partnerships, collaborations with local businesses, larger events, and expanding the overall experience and identity of the club. I think there’s so much potential to build something really impactful and different.
Personally, I’m looking forward to continuing to grow into this new phase of life. A few years ago, I was moving from Brazil to Tennessee as an au pair with no idea what my future would look like. Now, building a community in Texas and watching it positively impact other women honestly feels surreal sometimes.
More than anything, I’m excited to keep creating things that bring people together and make them feel connected, welcomed, and inspired. I think that will always be at the center of whatever I do next.
