Hi Nekkia & Keishia, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Charming Stylez Bar was created from both love and loss. After our loved one, Shantelle, suddenly passed away at the age of 43, we wanted to find a meaningful way to honor her memory and keep her legacy alive. She was a proud AKA sorority member who absolutely loved fashion, accessories, bling, pearls, and anything that made a statement with style and elegance.
Inspired by her passion, we created our company as a reflection of everything she loved. What started as a tribute has grown into something truly special through the love and support of our customers, family, and friends, which continues to touch our hearts every day.
We specialize in pop-up shops because we genuinely enjoy the face-to-face interaction and personal connections with our customers. Being able to meet people, share our story, and help others feel confident and stylish is what makes this journey so rewarding for us.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it definitely has not been a smooth road, but through our partnership we continue to support and motivate each other every step of the way. We always strive to provide great quality products and excellent customer service, even during challenging times.
One of the struggles we’ve faced is shipping delays and timing issues that are sometimes out of our control. As a growing business, we’ve learned that patience, communication, and consistency are very important. Every challenge has been a learning experience for us, and instead of giving up, we continue to grow, learn, and push forward together. We make sure that God is getting the glory!
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Outside of our business, we both work in careers that require strong communication, professionalism, and excellent customer service. I work in Human Resources, and my business partner works in the Insurance industry. On a daily basis, we interact with people from all walks of life, whether it’s helping someone find a job opportunity or assisting customers through the claims process with care and professionalism.
Those experiences have helped shape the way we run our business. We specialize in creating a welcoming and personal shopping experience, especially through our pop-up shops where we can connect directly with our customers. We are known for our friendly customer service, quality accessories, and the genuine relationships we build with people.
What we are most proud of is being able to turn something so personal into a business that brings joy, confidence, and style to others while honoring our loved one’s legacy. What sets us apart is the heart behind our brand. We don’t just sell accessories — we create connections, make people feel valued, and use the same professional and people-centered skills from our careers to give every customer the best experience possible.
