Hidden Gems: Meet Jada Jay of Jada Jay Entertainment LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jada Jay.

Hi Jada, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started out pursuing multiple areas in entertainment — singing, songwriting, acting, modeling, and content creation — because I’ve always loved creativity and storytelling in all forms. As I continued growing in the industry, I started realizing how difficult it can be when you’re first starting out. There’s a lot of misinformation, scams, and gatekeeping, and I personally experienced a lot of those challenges myself.

Over time, more and more people began reaching out to me for advice, guidance, and mentorship because they saw that I was actively working in the industry and building experience in different areas. That’s really what inspired me to create my company, Jada Jay Entertainment LLC.

Through my company, I help entertainers in different fields — whether it’s acting, singing, songwriting, modeling, musical theater, dancing, or influencing — by offering tailored classes, consultations, and hands-on resources based on where they are in their journey. I offer vocal coaching, songwriting classes, musical theater classes, dance classes, and also help singers develop their stage presence and confidence as performers.

For actors, I provide support through self-tape assistance, reader services, audition coaching, demo reel services, and other tools that can genuinely help them grow professionally and feel more prepared in the industry.

I offer both online and in-person classes because I want my services to be accessible to as many people as possible, no matter where they’re located or what stage they’re at in their career. I also teach annually at the Texas Thespian Convention, which is something that’s very important to me because I truly care about giving back to young performers and helping support the next generation of artists.

Another part of my business is performance services as well. People are able to book me through my company for weddings, events, and live singing performances, which has allowed me to continue actively working while also mentoring others.

One thing that was really important to me when building my business was making sure it was both affordable and genuinely helpful. I wanted people to have access to real guidance and real industry knowledge without feeling taken advantage of or overwhelmed the way so many beginners do when they first enter entertainment.

What also makes my approach unique is that I’m actively working in the entertainment industry while teaching. I think that’s incredibly important because I’m able to give current, firsthand insight instead of just teaching theory. Along with that, I’m also certified through college in teaching, so I’ve been able to combine education with real-world entertainment experience in a way that allows me to truly support and prepare people for this industry.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road, but I honestly think a lot of the challenges I’ve faced have helped shape me into the person and business owner I am today.

One of the biggest struggles has been being a young woman in the entertainment industry and as a business owner. Sometimes people see my age first and assume that it takes away from my credibility or experience, even though I’m certified to teach acting, actively work in the entertainment industry, and have spent years learning and building in multiple areas like singing, songwriting, acting, modeling, and influencing.

When I first started in entertainment, I also experienced a lot of the things many beginners go through — misinformation, scams, people gatekeeping knowledge, and feeling like I had to figure everything out on my own. That’s honestly one of the main reasons I created Jada Jay Entertainment LLC in the first place. I wanted to create something that was affordable, genuine, and truly helpful so other entertainers wouldn’t have to struggle through the same things I did.

In acting, one challenge I’ve encountered is that I look younger than I actually am. There have been situations where I wasn’t cast in certain roles because I appeared significantly younger than the actor playing the love interest, and visually it just didn’t fit the dynamic the production was looking for. While that can definitely be frustrating at times, I’ve also learned to see the positive side of it because it allows me to play younger roles and gives me more longevity in the industry overall.

I think every blessing comes with challenges, but I’ve learned not to let those things discourage me. Instead, I use them as motivation to keep growing, improving, and continuing to push forward in my career.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
My business is Jada Jay Entertainment LLC, an entertainment and education company focused on developing and supporting entertainers across multiple areas of the industry including acting, singing, songwriting, dance, modeling, and content creation. I work with people at all stages of their journey, whether they are just starting out or already building a professional career.

What I specialize in is providing very hands-on, industry-based training and resources that help entertainers actually understand how to navigate the business side and performance side of the entertainment industry. I focus on real preparation, confidence building, and making sure people have access to information that is often not taught or is gatekept.

For acting specifically, I offer a structured training program that includes multiple levels of development:

* **Level 1: Beginning Acting** focuses on acting fundamentals, script analysis, terminology, and emotional expression.
* **Level 2: Intermediate Acting** includes emotional recall, improvisation, and inner monologue work.
* **Level 3: Cold Reading** teaches how to perform a scene without preparation while making strong choices and connecting with a scene partner.
* **Level 4: Audition Training** covers the audition process, self-taping, equipment, and how to stand out to casting directors.
* **Level 5: How to Find Auditions** teaches how to find opportunities and avoid scams.
* **Level 6: Headshots, Resumes & Demo Reels** focuses on marketing yourself professionally.
* **Level 7: Preparation for Set** teaches set etiquette, expectations, and industry terminology.
* **Level 8: Obtaining Representation** covers agents, managers, submissions, and red flags to avoid.

I also offer specialty acting and performance-based classes such as **Acting on Pitch**, which blends acting and singing for musical performance development.

Beyond acting, I offer additional classes including:

* How to start a modeling career
* How to become an influencer and secure UGC and brand deals
* How to become a singer and build a music career
* Songwriting classes
* Stage-ready live performance training
* Hip hop dance classes
* Vocal coaching

I also provide private, one-on-one services such as:

* Audition coaching
* Virtual reader services
* Self-tape services
* Demo reel creation and production
* Entertainment consultations and career guidance

For performance work, I also offer booking services where clients can hire me for live events such as weddings and special occasions. I have structured booking rates and a professional booking process for performances.

What sets my brand apart is that everything is designed to be practical, accessible, and based on real industry experience. I offer both online and in-person classes, making it easier for people to access training no matter where they are. I also teach annually at the Texas Thespian Convention, which is something I’m very proud of because giving back to young performers and the next generation of entertainers is a big part of my mission.

What I’m most proud of is building a brand that combines education, performance, and real industry experience in a way that actually prepares people for the entertainment world. My goal is to make sure entertainers feel informed, confident, and supported instead of overwhelmed or misled.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
Yes, I think finding a mentor and networking in general really comes down to being intentional, consistent, and authentic.

What has worked well for me is first being clear about what I actually need help with and what stage I’m in, because that helps me identify the right people to learn from. I’ve also learned that mentorship doesn’t always have to be a formal title — sometimes it’s people you meet through classes, workshops, sets, or consistent professional connections who are willing to share guidance along the way.

For networking, what’s worked best for me is actually showing up and building real relationships instead of just trying to get something from someone. Whether it’s through classes, events, or being on set, I focus on being respectful, prepared, and present. I’ve learned that treating people with respect is extremely important because sometimes people may not remember exactly what you said, but they will remember how you made them feel.

I’ve also learned not to be afraid to reach out, but to do it in a respectful and genuine way — not just asking for favors, but showing appreciation for someone’s work and building an authentic connection over time. A lot of the opportunities I’ve had have come from people seeing me consistently working, improving, and taking my craft seriously, as well as my professionalism on set and the way I carry myself in every environment.

Another big thing I’ve realized is that your reputation really does speak for itself. It’s a small world in the entertainment industry, and I’ve been fortunate enough to build a good reputation when it comes to my work ethic, professionalism, and craft — and that has opened doors for me in ways I didn’t always expect.

Overall, I think the biggest thing is staying grounded, being patient, and understanding that networking is a long-term relationship-building process, not something that happens overnight.
