Today we’d like to introduce you to Natalie Robinson.
Natalie, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Hi! My name is Natalie Robinson, and I am the Founder & Owner of Raise the Barre Celina. I graduated with my BFA in Dance & MBA in Entrepreneurship. I previously worked at Texas Ballet Theater School in Richardson, TX and Suzanne’s School of Dance in College Station, Texas. I am blessed to have taught many amazing students and worked alongside expert dance educators in the industry. I am now fulfilling my lifelong dream: to open a dance studio that bridges the gap between world-class dance education, a top-tier parent experience, and an uplifting culture. I have a heart for Raising the Barre for dancers both inside and outside the studio. I believe dance is more than movement; it’s a powerful tool for empowering children. Raise the Barre provides excellent dance education with a safe and uplifting atmosphere for families in Celina, McKinney, Prosper, Gunter and surrounding North Texas.
Raise the Barre Celina opens in TX Business Parks Celina this January 2027! I am hosting Summer Camps this June & July at The Anchored School Celina while my beautiful location is built. I am creating a new standard for dance education, blending professional instruction with personalized care. From preschool classes to collegiate and pre-professional training, dancers are nurtured every step of the way in a fun, exciting, and positive learning environment. Raise the Barre operates with the same precision I teach at the barre. I offer elite technical dance training powered by professional strategy for ages 18 months to 18 years. Discover what it means to Raise the Barre and come dance with me!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Upon graduation with my BFA in Dance, I planned to dance in a professional ballet company. The pandemic altered those plans, and I decided to pursue a Masters Degree and simultaneously teach dance classes. While earning my MBA in Entrepreneurship, I created my entire business plan for Raise the Barre! A beautiful goal, accompanied with a renewed sense of direction, grew amidst uncertainty in my future plans. As much as I loved performing, I discovered I was a gifted teacher. I enjoy mentoring students and teaching the next generation of dancers. I also discovered a love for dance studio business operations. I realized I love the “behind the scenes” moments as much as the “on stage” moments. Opening Raise the Barre Celina brings everything full circle!
